  Runtime Problem
October 18, 2006 6:32:37 PM    View the profile of Aphamos
My grandparents just got into town, and my grandfather wanted to check the news on the internet on my computer, so I let him use my mom's account. Now, when he logged on and double-clicked on the Internet Explorer icon, a runtime error came up. Here is a rough sketch of what it looked like:

Runtime Error!
Program C:/Program Files/Internet Explorer/iexplore.exe
This application has requested Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

When I click either "Ok" or "Cancel" *(both bring me to the same page) it says:

The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not me "read".

Any ideas on what I should do/what is wrong?

Yeah, I searched it on the web and found that Google Toolbar was the source for the script error that it was having.

Anyways, problem solved.

Aye. I agree with Kad. I use Mozilla Firefox ( Firefox) because it's just... better :P Granted you can't conduct Windows/Office updates when you go to the Microsoft site unless you're on IE, Firefox just happens to be an all-around better browser for me (my opinion).

As far as your current IE problem, I suggest, perhaps, just downloading the latest version of IE and upgrading your browser version. There's that new IE beta that's available (my dad uses it on his comp). He seems to like it.

Firefox is the best browser you can get, next on the list is IE beta 2 (the beta for vista) it has problems but its awsome.
Personlly i run IE beta 2, but it has problems with sites for payiung bills (ex. Credit card), and it stole firefox's tabbed browsing.
{3B is the most fun Browser though}

Well, if you wanna talk tabs then Netscape was the original.

But I agree, Frefox is the best overall.

Like Kad and Cosmic said, Firefox is just plain better.

It runs more effeciently, is easier to organize (tabs), and has the ability to be improved (extensions).
