I was offered a 60k a year job as a purchaser to an electronics company, I turned it down because I want to finish school first. I still don't know if it was a mistake to turn it down or not, what would you guys of done? -----------------------

Would they have let you finish school while you were working? If so, would they have paid for the rest of your schooling? Most companies would want their employees more educated, so I would bet they would do that. -----------------------

If I was you I sould have took the job. Education is more importaqnt though. I think in you were right, but at the same time you want the job. I still would have tooken the Job, specialy if you were getting 60k.  -----------------------

Again, as Kad mentioned above, you would've had to have checked to see if they would have paid for the rest of your tuition. If not, I would have turned down the job. I would rather spend another two years in order to obtain a degree that could allow me to get a $70k+/year salary then being stuck with a limit of $60k-$65k/year salary for the duration of my time at that particular company. -----------------------

I wouldnt have time to do my tuition, and I'm fairly sure they wouldnt pay for it, plus for schooling I think I want to be a history teacher, and in Quebec teacher dont make alot. -----------------------

You were right to continue with your education - If that job dissapeared, you would be stuck with an incomplete education and no employment. -----------------------

Personally, I'd rather make $40k a year doing something I love than making $60k/year doing something I'd rather not be doing. -----------------------

I'd taken the money, because purchaser doesn't seem that hard, but then again I really don't know. I can always recite the old saying about if you love your job, you never work a day in your life. But I'm greedy so, yeah. -----------------------
