Though i own a sword, no...
I've tried fencing and a bit of kendo but generally i'd end disemboweling myself if i tried swordfighting. ----------------------- In the brightest light,

Ken-do? That was the word I was looking for. A Ken-do stick is what I was originally taught with, and sorry for correcting you Japeth and D'Har I just thought you were misspelling Ikaido which is a self defence for women and children. I shouldn't have second guessed you on what you know. Which, by the way is right.

Oh, and Yoder's Bar and all the like. Yoder, I'm new to here but I don't ever see a subect of yours die forever. Every subject I have looked upon that you have created is cool. So deal with it Master Yoder. It is your destiny. You might want a subject to die, and like I am trying to say it will, but not within our hearts. ----------------------- Grammer, mechanics, punctuation, spelling, diction, effectiveness in the science, and larger elements are the facts at hand.

Sorry Yoder Master,
Just one last reply. But, I have played with the light sabres at Walmart too. They are not real, you know.
The last one I played with even had the real life sound. My best friend and I, both of us, over 21 years of age, fought in the aisles and even broke one. Of course, we put them back on the shelf as quickly as possible, and walked away like nothing happened.
We WERE talking about Real swords here. There are the haves and have nots in life. If you have never played with a real sword ever, that's cool.
Just don't act like you have, nobody really cares.
I think to finish this subject, I will re-emphasis the fact that, all of us have played at swordplay at one time or another. When I was a kid I used a stick and trash can lid. It's a good thing we didn't poke each others eyes out. So light sabres, long sabres, cutlass's rapiers, epee's, long swords, short swords, broad swords, all swords, be gone from our sight. Wev'e seen enough.
Does that sum it up Master Yoder? ----------------------- Grammer, mechanics, punctuation, spelling, diction, effectiveness in the science, and larger elements are the facts at hand.

I hate to say it, but this thread reminds me of a particular scene in Napoleon Dynamite.

Oh hey, It's cool Master Yoder, hope you don't mind that I call you that it's just my affectionate name for you now.
Threats don't bother me. Were all good. And this is all just for fun.
Sorry if I offended anyone. Specially if your only 13 years old and over six foot tall. You sound like my Wookie character and you for sure wouldn't want to offend him. Yeah me too? As I posted before. When I was a kid we used sticks and metal garbage can lids as shields. WOW that really shows my age. Metal Garbage can lids? Do they exit anymore? Like you, I got better and advanced, mostly through my own teachings, but through the help of a few martial artists. I wouldn't expect to hold up against Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan but like you I could hold my own against the norm at least. And yeah, I did break a light sabre at Walmarts and left quickly. Thinking now, it was fun, but maybe I should send them a check. Anonomously of course. ----------------------- Grammar, mechanics, punctuation, spelling, diction, effectiveness in the science, and larger elements are the facts at hand.
