Writing Commendations

I am very pleased to say that Japheth has approved my idea of creating a special "lifetime achievement" writing award based upon career story posts. As I update the career story tally (which is on the navy comnet), I will award people with new medals as they reach the appropriate thresholds.
I want to stress that this does NOT replace the Victory Cross. The Victory Cross is rewarded for tremendous writing activity and achievements over a short term period such as an ESC, chapter story, or other relevant time frame. This award acknowledges the work people have done throughout their career and as such is classified in the same field as the Recruitment Medals and the Long Service Medal.
In the next few days I will be holding a mini competition to design this medal. I have in my mind an idea of what I want it to look like but outside of that framework it will be up to you graphics creators to put in your creativity to assist. The Wikipedia will be updated shortly with this information as well.
Writing Commendations:
Bronze - 25 posts [BWC]
Silver - 50 posts [SWC]
Gold - 100 posts [GWC]
Platinum - 200 posts [PWC]
Emerald - 300 posts [EWC]
Ruby - 400 posts [RWC]
Diamond - 500 posts [DWC]
As you know, the career story tally contained all squadron, wing, and chapter stories for all members from September 2001 and onwards (there are no active members save for Japheth who wrote before that but I will be nice and tally his as well one day :P). I will be including personal stories from the ESC since they had certain guidelines attached. Some of the posts were merged (in my head in order that they reach the word count minimum) to score points and the total number of posts after the merger will be used.
The following people have earned writing commendations and may add the specified one to their ID line. Congratulations on your hard work. Note: this contains the latest career update which has only half the ESC tallied due to ongoing stories.

Willtconq - 49

Cyleaf Aehait - 32
DJ234 - 28
Hunter - 27

Krius - 27
Jen Knight - 25
Raigen - 25

Actually, as I joined in Nov 2001 all mine should be on this Comnet, however a great deal of my writing is in the DJO boards, and as such isn't even eligable. :P Also due to my rapid promotions out of squadrons I never did a lot of Navy writing to begin with. Primarily my posts can be found starting out missions and the like. Ah well, such is life. ----------------------- Fleet Admiral Japheth Cappadocious, Krath Templar

Pretty soon all ideas for the Navy will be used up by Art.
Good thinking on this though. ----------------------- NazgulSquadron

When do these get awarded? When you tally the latest posts? ----------------------- NazgulSquadron

Every time I do a tally, if someone is eligible, they will get it. ----------------------- WAJ/2LT Corran "Arturus" Hargraves/M-SSD Atrus/VE/VEN/(=A=)(=SA=)(=*MA*=)(=JCPA=)(=SCPA=)[MC:1](x2)[SV][BRC][VC:B][CBV][GWC][LSM][LoC]
