Well first of all, I am back and that means overall ratings can now be posted. I have posted the ratings for each squadron and the top 10 pilots. After week 1, I thought I would say a few things that I have noticed to date.
1. So far, the activity has been tremendous and that is very good to see. Not only has activity been high but its been balanced in all areas and by all squadrons. No one squadron is running away with this and no one pilot is running away with this which means we could have a very competitive ESC on our hands which is great for the navy. Keep up the good work!
2. A reminder. The squadrons are all close and that means websites could be a key factor. Websites are graded at the end and are worth a maximum of 20 points on your rating so keep that in mind.
3. Another reminder. Remember, this tournament is about the most multifaceted, multi-skilled squadron and pilot. Some squadrons are excelling in some areas but are weak in others. Kaph squadron so far has been brilliant; not one pilot leads in any category or is even close to the top in some cases but they lead overall because they are balanced in all areas. Balance is key to victory.
Keep up the great work everyone!

"The way of war is a way of deception. When able, feign inability; when deploying troops, appear not to be. When near, appear far; when far, appear near. Lure with bait; strike with chaos. If the enemy is full, be prepared. If strong, avoid him. If he is angry, disconcert him. If he is weak, stir him to pride. If he is relaxed, harry him; if his men are harmonious, split them. Attack where he is unprepared; appear where you are unexpected. This is victory in warfare; it cannot be divulged in advance. Victory belongs to the side that scores most in the temple calculations before battle. Most spells victory; least spells defeat; none, surer defeat. I see it in this way, and the outcome is apparent." -- Sun Tzu
"Ultimate excellence lies not in winning every battle but in defeating the enemy without ever fighting." -- Sun Tzu
