It's that time again.  Time to celebrate the start of the Vast Empire so long ago.  It has been 8 years since we started back in 1998. There will be many activities happening for this celebration, so don't miss out.

Here are the details about when this festivity will occur:
Date:  Sunday, May 21th
Time:  Right after the regularly scheduled meeting (http://www.vastempire.com/main.cfm?ref=meetinginfo)
How Long:  For as long as people want to celebrate
What will we do:  Trivia contests, RPG games, MP competitions, and a few more surprises!!

What I need is a few volunteers who want to help run various activities.  Mainly the trivia contest(s), MP competition, and possibly a RPG game (could be IRC based or even MP game based).  I'd like to get a different person to help run each activity so they can also participate in other events.  The event coordinators will be compensated 500,000 ICs for their efforts in running the event.

If you would like to volunteer for one of these, send me an email with what you are volunteering for as well as mention what you have planned for running that particular event so I can pick the best volunteer for the job.  If you have any other ideas for events, post up a message to the topic about your ideas.

This is also a update to let everyone know that there will be a one time lottery drawing for 100,000,000 ICs.  All the same rules will apply for this drawing so make sure you get your lottery picks in before this next Sunday.

Okay, some details from me:

We will be doing general trivia in #Cantina around the time of the meeting. Prize money for the victor will be 200 000ICs. Thats enough for a starfighter or alot of guns, to all you recruits Or, for you junk collectors, thats a ton of urinel cakes.

The RPG will take place around the same time. It will be playing a simplified version of Star Wars D20. Think Clonetrooper Jedi Hunt.
