The Guidlines:

All Raiders, before entering into a story involving Special enviroments such as extreme cold, Zero-G, Radiation, ect. Will have to write a training story.

The Rules:

1. The Story must be at least 2 pages long.

2. I will mark it.

3. You can only include one type of enviroment in each training.

Enviroments:

Zero-G
Radiation
Desert
Snow
Forest
Under Water

I request a list of all different environments that we are able to train in, but nonetheless I'm going to start a story now.....is it possible to combine two story themes? for example could I mix my specialty along with environmental?

I have posted some of the enviroments, If I can think of more I'll post them later.

I'd prefer if you started on Zero-G, as it is the first thing we're doing wednsday.

Oh, and look at rule number 3

The ground was scorched, bodies littered the floor most of them in pieces Rogueboy sighed to himself and spoke to Wojtek his instructor VIA comlink.

"I hate simulations they look to real."

The simulation room was projecting downtown Coruscant after a series of nuclear fall out. Wojtek responded on his comlink.

"Well it's supposed to look like that, and remember the holographs are men in suits so all you have to do is skin their suits and the radiation will take care of the rest."

Rogueboy snickered at the irony that radiation works both ways but nevertheless made double sure his radiation trooper armour was equipped properly, it was the first time he was wearing it and last thing he wanted was the "radiation" to leak in.

Rogueboy did a mental look over on the equipment he chose for this mission; the radiation armour, his Tuff 1 combat suit, which if his initial armour were pierced would provide safety, limits for ten minutes against radiation before disintegrating, weapon wise he packed his bi-polar carbine, along with his dual SH9's, and finally his DC-15 blaster pistol.

Rogueboy moved among the debris that was Coruscant and took cover behind a balcony that seemed to of collapsed and created excellent protection, the objective was simple a "squad" of five stormtroopers would go into the destroyed city set up a perimeter around a strategic position and defend against two waves of attackers, each wave consisting of ten troopers the casualty limit was three of five.

Wave one of the attackers commenced, his team was ready when the first attacked stuck his head over a piece of debris his team held their fire hoping for the attackers to walk right into the killing zone. The enemy crept slowly along peering at virtually everything and just as they entered the zone one of them raised his rifle to port seconds before being cut down by enemy fire. Rogueboy took down four of the ten attackers one was a shot to the head, another to the chest, the third was repeatedly hit, and the fourth was a shot that skinned his armour and made a rip he died tearing at his own skin.

Rogueboy looked around not a single of his men were hit Wojtek came over the comlink.

"Well since you did so well against those men after the next round which will be marked as a passing if you kill them all we shall spice things up."

Rogueboy grinned knowing whatever Wojtek wanted to do it would only make his objectives harder and possibly fatal that's what made this job that much more interesting.

One of his men pointed out and stuck out ten fingers signalling the next wave was on its way seconds before he blew up.

"What the hell?"

Rogueboy than realized the dead soldier's grenade went off immediately he told his squad to throw their grenades.

The enemies progress was as slow as the first wave and as soon as they spotted their fallen comrades, one of them was sent forward while the others took cover.

This skirmish would turn into a bloodbath if he took out that one guy it would give away their position and they couldn't go very far otherwise they would give up their mission, the enemy soldier was thirty feet away, just than an idea popped into his head he gave a signal to two of his men they got up and ran to the side and than proceeded to encircle the enemy's main force. Rogueboy began counting the seconds trying to judge how far they were, thirty seconds were up Rogueboy stood up and fired a shot at the lone trooper hitting him in his chest his comrades stood up and returned fire hitting the debris they used as cover.

"C'mon, c'mon."

Rogueboy said to himself starting to have doubts on his plan, what if they were seen and killed and all he did was send two troopers to their death. Just than Cheech heard blaster bolts his squad got up and ran as fast as they could towards the enemies position. Rogueboy jumped over the barrier and pressed the trigger for his gun at a point blank enemies back, nothing happened Rogueboy took a quick glance at his barrel before he realized his gun's barrel had melted at prolong exposure to radiation, he used the back of his gun to hit the enemy in back of his head another enemy soldier turned around as if sensing something was wrong, Cheech threw his gun at the soldier he instinctively brought up his hands to catch it, Rogueboy took out his DC-15 and blew the soldier apart.

The battle was over and his team was victorious and still no casualties, just than Wojtek came on the comlink.

"Congratulations you passed the test, but I would like to test something if you are willing, of course."

"You know me sir, always willing to test out new things."

"I never said it was new but here it comes, my advice take cover."

Just than three STAPs did a fly by killing one of the men. Rogueboy bellowed commands.

"You two fortify that building when they come by I want you to take them down. You two with me."

Rogueboy ran with his men trailing into a nearby building and started ascending steps. Five flights later they took positions at windows overlooking where the fly by just took place, sure enough the STAPS took the same flight path. Rogueboy went on the comlink to his squad.

"Hold your fire...NOW!"

A hail of fire took down two of the STAPS and the third one got off smoking&rider-less. Wojtek came on the comlink.

"Good job, now go through the decontamination chamber and we'll go for a beer or two."

Dont mean to butt in, but Radtrooper are usually trained not to rely on blaster weaponry too much as it is highly unreliable in those environments.

Well what would you recommend than? anything metallic would melt, and blasters would only be affected at certain levels of radiation.

Dammit, it's early, Aphamos thought to himself.  It was 4:30 in the morning, and they were making him report to the simulation room for the first real part of his training.  All the stuff before this had been the raw basics, but this was the real thing.  He had recently been recruited into the Raiders squad, which was in charge of both friendly and unfriendly environments alike.  They had warned him that the upcoming mission concerned either a radiation environment or was in zero gravity, and so he needed to prepare.  He was still half asleep when he arrived at the door of the simulation room.  He felt his face with his hand.  "Shoot, forgot to shave," he muttered to himself.  He straightened up his uniform, and stepped forward.  The door opened with its familiar hiss sound.  That was the sound of things being done; soldiers being created out of weak organisms who call themselves men.  It was the sound of an Empire.

He looked around the room and saw his squad leader, Darr-Rann, leaning on the wall.  Aphamos immediately snapped to attention, and stood in that position until he was met with a salute from his leader.

"Morning trooper," said Darr-Rann.  Aphamos could tell that Darr-Rann wasn't fully awake either, but did a good job of hiding his drowsiness.

"Morning Sir," said Aphamos.  He tried to refrain from yawning, but couldn't overcome the urge to.

"Ah, well, I can see that you didn't get all of your beauty sleep either, so lets make this quick, agreed?" the squad leader said.

    "Agreed, Sir," responded Aphamos.

"Alright then," said Darr-Rann, "Corellia, or Coronet to be exact, has just neutron bombed by the Empire.  You objective: eliminate all pockets of resistance?which, in this case, will be droids?that have 'survived'.  You will protect and escort an AI to location B, a small building, and the AI will install relay with headquaters.  This AI will not assist you in any other way but with the installation of the relay.  You will secure location B for exactly one hour until more troops are sent to your aid.  Your equipment: modified plastoid armor with a lead-polymer substrate incorporated in it.  This armor will only hold you in the radiation for two hours.  This is grade 4 radiation kid.  You will die, very, very quickly and very, very painfully if your armor is pierced by blaster fire.  Normal blasters will not work in this environment, so you will be given a blaster carbine, a force pike, and four concussion grenades.  On your utility belt will be anti-radiation pills and detoxification hypos, but you probably won't be needing those.  You will also be given an anti-radiation tent for setup if needed.  A map is already programmed into your helmet, which shows your location relative to the path from point A to point B.  Two other AI will be in with you to aid you and follow your command.

The squad leader stepped closer to Aphamos, so they were face to face.  "Kid, I know this is training, but this operation will be perfect in every sense, do you understand me?" he said.

        "Yes Sir," said Aphamos.

"Alright then.  Step in trooper, and good luck," said Darr-Rann.

If there is such thing as luck, Aphamos thought to himself.  He stepped into the simulation chamber.  A device came down and lowered itself down onto his head, and suddenly his environment changed.

He got up off the ground and looked around a bit.  The only problem was that there was nothing to look at.  It was barren, no life what-so-ever.  The temperature was scorching, and he had to decrease the temperature in his suit.  He had seen pictures of Coronet before, and they were nothing like this.  It just goes to show what happens when the Empire flexes its destructive muscles.  He turned around to find three AI's, two holding carbines, and the last one holding some kind of sack.  Aphamos could hear a faint buzzing sound in the air; the sound of something flying.  Droids.  He turned around and found three training droids advancing on them in triangle formation.  Let the games begin.

"Red One, stay back with Red Three.  Make sure nothing happens to him.  Red Two, come here," said Aphamos.  The AI ran over beside him, his carbine in ready position.  "Red Two, give me suppressive fire. Try to take out the ones on the sides.  I'll run in and take care of the one in the center.  On my mark."  The droids were closing in on the fast.  "Three, two, one, MARK."

Immediately, Red Two started firing, his first two shots missing, but his third shot landing straight in the mechanical eye of the droid.  Aphamos shot out in full sprint at the two other droids.  He could hear the droid farthest right of him fall to the ground, his circuit making odd, mechanical noises, but then quieting down.  He quickly strafed to the right, avoiding two shots fired by the droids. He swiftly rolled forward, and upon landing, took out and turned on his force pike and drove it into the eye of the droid to the left.  He spun, dodging two more droid shots and brought the force pike down, crushing the entire frontal lobe of the droid.

Aphamos sighed.  "All too easy," he said to himself, as he switched of his force pike and made his way back toward the AI's.  Their destination, without resistance, would have taken him about ten minutes at walking speed, but at this rate, it would take him about fifteen to twenty minutes.  Perfection, he thought to himself.  He needed perfection and nothing else.

"Nice work men, but we need to get it done faster.  Red One, you remain with Red Three.  Red Two, you take our back incase they decide to get clever with us.  I'll take the front," he said, "Alright, let's go. "  They started to make their way, Aphamos's senses on high alert.  He needed to do flawlessly here.  This was his biggest help towards the mission, and he needed to prove himself to the squad.  Two minutes had passed, and they were three-fourths of the way to point B.  Aphamos suddenly heard the faint yet familiar buzzing noise in front of him.  The noise was getting louder and louder and it seemed to be coming from multiple directions.  Aphamos looked up and saw one droid making its way towards him.  Wait, this isn't right, he thought, there is only one of them.  Then it hit him.

"MEN, THEY'RE FLANKING US!!!" he yelled.  He pulled up and aimed his carbine at the droids center eye and quickly fired.  The droid was shot back and hit the ground with a quiet Crunch!, but Aphamos wasn't there to see it happen.  He quickly ran back to help reinforce Red Two's position.

"Red One, take the front!" he ordered.  "Red Three, get down, NOW!"  He could see the outline of three droids as he was running toward the AI's position.  "Red Two, fire when ready!" he yelled.  He brought up his carbine.  He turned to his left, and saw a bolt of red light hit Red Two in the torso.  Red Two fell back on the blazing ground, his hands clenching his chest.  "Dammit," Aphamos said to himself.  He pulled out his force pike, flipped it on, and threw it hard at the remaining droid, which was annihilated by the accurately placed tip.  He flipped the AI over to see where the shot had hit him.  The shot had entered and pierced through a vulnerable spot in the armor, creating a fair sized hole.  Aphamos, pulled the anti-radiation pills out from his belt.  He gave three of them to the AI.  Aphamos could see the effects of the radiation taking place on the skin already; the skin was becoming redder and redder.  He needed to get to point B and set up the radiation tent before it was too late.  He lifted the AI onto his back.  "Geez, this armor is heavier than I thought," he muttered to himself.  They were almost to the destination, and he couldn't stop now.  He quickly walked back to the two other AI, did a quick check on them, and started on their way to the building.

"Red One, you take our flank now, and stay sharp.  Red Three, stay near me," said Aphamos.  It looked as if the dead wasteland would never end, as if it was hell, but the thought of success, the thought of power drove him onward.  Three minutes later, they arrived at their location.  Red Three immediately started to install the relay and connected with headquarters.

"Well done, troopers," said the man thought the receiver, in the stereotype Imperial Officer voice.  "Our radar has sensed droids near your area.  A drop ship of reinforcements will be arriving to you shortly."  That was where he was wrong.  "Headquarters signing out."

Aphamos went to the back of their camp and installed the anti-radiation and placed Red-Two inside of it.  He still had some life left, Aphamos thought, he will live.  Aphamos stood at the front of their camp, and stationed Red One at their flank.

                                                                                FIFTY MINUTES LATER

Aphamos heard footsteps, many this time.  "Reinforcements are here," he said.  Aphamos used the built in binoculars in his helmet to zoom in on them.  He stopped.  Those weren't reinforcements; they were droids, ten to be exact, and coming straight their way.  Aphamos went to the tent to check up on the AI.  None of them except Red One could fight.  He took Red Two's force pike after losing his own, and checked to see where his concussion grenades were.  This one was going to go out with a bang.

"Red One, come here," he said.  "Droids are approaching us from the front.  See the rubble to the right?"  The AI nodded.  "You stay there.  On my mark, fire at them, not to hit, but to distract.  Once I make my move, shoot to kill."  The AI moved to position, weapon ready.  The droids were fifteen yards away.  "Three," thirteen yards, "Two," eleven yards, "One," ten yards, "MARK!"  Red blaster bolts whizzed past the droids.  They diverted their attention towards the AI and started firing, falling right into Aphamos's trap.  He pulled a grenade out from his belt, took of the cap, and tossed it into the droids direction.  He pulled out the force pike, turned it on, and sprinted towards the droids.  He could see the area in front of him erupt in smoke, sending bits and parts of droids all over.  The explosion had taken out six of the ten droids, which left easy work for Aphamos.  In four swift and deadly moves of the arm, he had eliminated the remaining droids.

The voice over the intercom said," Simulation Complete."

Aphamos exited the simulation chamber and snapped to attention as he saw Darr-Rann.  Aphamos could see the smile on his face; he was pleased.

"Nice job, trooper," said Darr-Rann.  "Quite an exceptional performance: you've passed.  Now, go get some rest."

Aphamos sighed.  He wasn't tired anymore.  He was just warming up.

"Modern weaponry becomes less reliable in radiation fields of Grade 4 or higher, so radtroopers are typically equipped with vibroblades, force pikes and grenades. Their blaster carbines are more powerful than standard stormtrooper sidearms. All radtroopers receive melee combat and explosives training."

I did read that but I disagree with the grenades simply because they might go off as I wrote in my story but your right about the melee only problem is that I'm currently in the market for a melee item...more like I'm saving up for an infiniti item

Rogueboy opened one eye and than the other his room was pitch black, another nightmare he thought to himself he reached over into the inky blackness and felt around on his nightstand; clock, data-pad, lamp, his hands knocked over a small container of pills he picked them up and started unscrewing the top meanwhile an image was stuck in his mind. The image was of Christine's corpse severely burned and blistered the majority of it the colour of charcoal the image kept replaying itself along with Ral standing over it laughing. Rogueboy popped the pill in his mouth and swallowed, he never needed water for his pills, his last thought before he fell back to sleep was of Ral dying and Rogueboy stabbing him to death.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!...Silence.

Rogueboy's hand came back from his alarm clock he sat up and rubbed his head, those pills always made his head hurt the next morning. Cheech got up and opened the curtains the light blinded him but his pupils quickly focused and he was able to see. On the road there was an accident two speeders collided and backed traffic up, medics were on the scene assisting whoever they could. Rogueboy sighed and than went into the bathroom to relieve himself, soon after he took his robe began his shower as soon as he finished his shower he went into his room and was about to get dressed until he noticed his data-pad vibrating, he picked it up; it was a warning to himself that his zero gravity training was in the next hour. Rogueboy went into the kitchen to make some breakfast until he saw the small mess he made the previous night an empty bottle of old-fashioned whiskey and a likewise empty glass, he took the glass and put it in the dishwasher.

TWENTY MINUTES LATER

Someone buzzed his apartment, Rogueboy went to the screen and didn't recognize the two men, one was a grey skinned Twi'lek and the other a normal looking human with dark hair and eyes. "Who's calling?" Rogueboy's voice rasped since it was his first words of the morning. "Tadath Police detectives we want to ask you a few questions about the multiple murders of some people in an abandoned building." People say you can never run from your past Cheech was starting to believe them with every single passing day. "Can I see some proof?" The two cops pulled out badges along with their data-pads which they in turn plugged into the scomp-link and uploaded their credentials. "Well Sergeant Dimpliski and Corporal Pol come on up." Rogueboy was resigned to answer their questions as truthfully as possible. The detectives came up and immediately began with the statements and questions.

"We have found your finger prints in an abandoned building where three dead men have been found, can you explain why they were
there?"

Rogueboy decided to tell the truth.
"I don't understand how they got there as you can see I left for Csilla the next day, the day before I spent packing and making final arrangements."

The detective nodded his head and made eye contact with his
partner.

"Do you mind if Corporal Pol takes a look around?"
Rogueboy knew what he was looking for but never the less nodded his head.

Sergeant Dimpliski continued the questions while Corporal Pol was searching Rogueboy's rooms, wasn't long before they heard a satisfied. "AH HA!" Sound.

"What did you find Pol?"

"This here soldier drinks the same whiskey as me."

Rogueboy laughed, "Well than lets have a glass altogether."

Rogueboy got three glasses and took the bottle from Pol's hand and filled the glasses, then all three of them raised their glasses made a toast and drank, the burning liquid filled Cheech's throat but he downed it as if he had years of experience doing it. The detectives finished their drinks said their goodbyes and walked out. Got to love the friendly relationships that soldiers and cops have in Tadath, they knew he murdered those low lives but they also knew he must of had a valid reason and decided to let him go.

Just than his data-pad vibrated again, his training was beginning in five minutes Rogueboy ran out as fast as he could into the streets running past people of every colour and description, crossing the road he was almost hit by a speeder, the driver screaming obscenities at him. Rogueboy arrived at the academy grounds there was a checkpoint gate that led in which was defended by drone guns and a few lazy troopers in white plastoid armour, one of these troopers approached Cheech.
"Plug your data-pad into there, and put your screen in the mask."
Rogueboy did as directed; it always felt weird putting your face in the mask that allows the computer to scan every inch of your face allowing for subtle differences of course. The scan completed and the soldier waved Cheech through.
"About time."

Wojtek was staring at Rogueboy as he came bursting into the room out of breath, the room was one of many simulation rooms consisting of a small chamber with beds and fairly big helmets with cords passing through the walls into them.

"Sorry Sergeant...I was delayed."

"Didn't leave any corpses?"

Rogueboy laughed.

"Not so you would notice, alright can we start this thing? I have a
hot date tonight."

"With a bottle?"

Rogueboy lowered his head and nodded.

"You got to get over her, it wasn't even for that long. C'mon I know your not doing anything tonight come with me and some of the guys to the strip club, I'll buy you a lap dance."

"Your right I'll see how I'm feeling after the training."

"Well I'm just saying I hate to see one of my favourite troopers go down the drain because of some dead chick he knew less than two weeks."

Rogueboy decided not to say anything Wojtek was right he usually was, but it still pained him Christine was more than just your usual pretty girl she could be ruthless when she wanted to be, he admired that in a woman.

"Well than let's begin shall we."

Rogueboy went inside the chamber while Wojtek began loading the program into the computer; Cheech picked up the helmet and put it on his head. The world transformed he was in the cargo hold of a ship waiting to be sent out in his Zero G armour. The Zero G Mark 1 armour was large and bulky but fairly comfortable and had a rear view screen. Wojtek's voice penetrated the "hallucination"
"Your objective is simple you will co-ordinate an attack on a Carrack Light Cruiser using a squad of twenty Zero G soldiers broken up into green and gold squadron. The enemy will have a few star ships X-wings mostly, bonus points if you capture the cruiser without destroying it, any questions?"

"Yeah, how many star ships do they have?"

"Count them."

Just than the cargo bay door opened and a the soldier behind Rogueboy booted him out, Cheech switched on the repulsor lift and started heading towards the light capital ship, Rogueboy than gave his troops their assignments.

"Green squad, I want you to take care of all the starfighters, when there are none left I want you to commence strafing runs on the Carrack."

"Yes Sir!"

The Corporal of the squad began assigning orders to every individual "light tank" in his squad.

"Gold squad, you have the privilege of beginning the assault on the Carrack; take five men and take out as many of the heavy turbo lasers as possible. Meanwhile have the other five men get to work on their shield generator."

"Yes Sir!"

Rogueboy pressed a button in his suit that gave him a concentrated shot of caffeine and pain killer, when on a real mission he would never do that unless it was crucial because the pain killer was known to be highly addictive. The Carrack came into view it was a metallic grey, sleek, fast, and dangerous. Rogueboy manoeuvred towards the ship, a hail of laser bolts were shot towards the direction of his men; many were hit but no one showed any signs until the starfighters were let out. They were all X-wing class and on top of their standard weapons they each had a proton torpedo, the starfighters were much faster than the Imperial troops, but the troops were more heavily armoured. Rogueboy attached himself to Gold squad and went alongside the men placing charges against the shield generator offering cover fire, as soon as he was approaching the ship to land on his HUD flashed red in two spots signalling that there was a turbo laser right around the bend. Rogueboy approached slowly, he heard the laser fire and as he turned the corner he realised the turbo laser was aiming the opposite direction of him, he fired a proton torpedo it was a hit; the turbo laser exploded pieces of it went flying everywhere. The faint glow of a starfighter burning up it was coming straight for Rogueboy. Cheech reacted quickly firing his grenade launcher the starfighter blew up and a piece of the shrapnel hit Rogueboy's leg tearing a hole into the suit. It's ok the spacesuit will allow me to continue on with the mission.

"We have penetrated the ship's armour your next command?"

"Green squad remain out to secure the exterior of the ship, Gold
follow my lead."

Rogueboy walked on the ship to the hole that was made Gold squad making sure nothing decided to pop out. Cheech turned on his repulsorlift and went into the hole, Gold squad following. They entered a hallway that had doors opening on two sides.

"Gold squad split into half, one half follow the corporal and the other follow me."

Rogueboy approached the door his suit making heavy clanging sounds on the metallic floor, Cheech attached an entry bomb to the door taking a few steps back he set it off and charged into the room, this room was the bridge of the ship and the few soldiers that were left inside were quickly defeated and surrendered. Rogueboy proceeded towards the security console and loaded up a program, immediately all the automated security guns turned on the crew and the battle was easily won.

Hmm... Not a whole lot of actual Zero-G in here. I'd like you to revise it - It hasnt shown me you know anything about Zero-G combat. Also, we use the Mark II armor, for increased mobility.
