It was a perfect Sunday on Tadath, sunny and warm Rogueboy picked up his data-pad and looked at the time display in the corner it read 1230, yawning he decided to get up, recalling last night's outing. They went to The Slurred Man's Inn only a few blocks from Rogueboy's apartment; "they" were Trina, Jim, Tanya, and Alex. The Slurred Man's Inn was your typical old fashioned inn with a wooden bar running down one side, tables and chair were scatter throughout the middle, with private booths on one side, and washrooms on the other side. The outside of the inn had an old worn out sign hanging off of the main entrance which showed a pair of lips and a bottle of beer right next to it.
Rogueboy finally got up from bed took his house robe and turned on the shower, stepping in he let the hot water wash over him waking his senses before grabbing the toothbrush and toothpaste. Rogueboy did all his morning things in his shower and in this order: brush the teeth, wash the face, shampoo his hair, and finally the body wash. The daily shower took about twelve minutes, finishing up Rogueboy would than proceed to bed and sped another fifteen minutes lying down before finally getting up, putting on a pair of sweatpants going to the bathroom to put on his deodorant, looking at the familiar shape of the RD-D2 droid shaped deodorant he began putting on his armpits, yawning Rogueboy looked at himself in the mirror his brown hair was almost eyebrow length. Soon he thought to himself soon he, will go for a haircut, done staring at himself he went into his bedroom grabbed a T-shirt and than proceeded towards the kitchen and made himself breakfast consisting of bacon and eggs with toast, as a drink he made himself freshly squeezed orange juice. Taking the morning paper Rogueboy went to go relieve himself, checking his data-pad time, which read 1330, he decided to go visit George in the hospital and offer his regrets to his parents, putting on his leather jacket he stepped outside and walked in the direction of the hospital.
George's condition hasn't changed since the 102 final, inside the semi-private room there were a lot of get well cards, flowers, and even his 102-graduating certificate. Considering that while George is alive he is incapacitated and therefore survived the final, others weren't so lucky. Thinking about the other members that were in his squad at the final his mind began to think about Trina turning such thoughts aside he promised himself he would call her today. When Rogueboy arrived home he realized something wasn't right, peering around at the front door Rogueboy unholstered his Kylan-3, holding it inside his jacket so no one would notice it, Rogueboy noticed a green speeder parked outside the apartment complex that's what caught his attention it was parked illegally and hazardously crooked. Just than the doors burst open and two men walked out holding a struggling Graan between them, they opened the speeder door and threw him in. Rogueboy holstered his blaster and walked towards the door, Graan and the two men noticed him, one of the men picked up a blaster and pointed it in Rogueboy's general direction.
Rogueboy didn't hesitate and continued to walk towards the front door until Graan cried out. "Alex help me."
Rogueboy looked at him shook his head in resignation and replied. "Why should I? You're never nice to me and you're a real jerk off."
The two men were following the conversation, they were hit men probably hired by the local crime boss, an Ewok by the name of Watuk whose crimes run deep into extortion, kidnapping, as well as a broker of sorts for hit men. Graan glanced around at the two men who had their blasters trained on Rogueboy. "I'll lower your rent by.....thirty per cent."
Rogueboy pondered for a moment, thinking how fast the other guys reaction would be if Rogueboy drew out his blaster. "Fifty per cent and no garage fee for Alyssa, take it or they take you."
One of the two hit men threatened Rogueboy. "If you kill us there will be others not to mention we have the advantage on you."
Graan shook his head in agreement signalizing the deal. Rogueboy quickly dove to his left and pulled out his blaster, the hit men fired where he was but a second ago, one of the hit men dove behind the speeder to use it as cover, meanwhile the other one used Graan as an alien shield, Rogueboy decided to eliminate the latter and took aim while the hit man was doing the same, Rogueboy fired out the man didn't have time to think before the bolt seared off his head, Graan cringed and took cover in the speeder. Rogueboy quickly took cover behind the stairs leading towards the apartment, the hit man popped out and he and Rogueboy began exchanging blaster bolts in the middle of the street, Rogueboy looked at the clip inside his blaster, it read low checking around his pants and jacket he realised he didn't have any spare energy packs, cursing he thought of a new strategy. The hit man was taking cover behind his car he popped up fired a few rounds and than took cover again, that's when Rogueboy decided to strike he began to sprint towards the speeder the hit man stuck up his head when he heard the sound and saw Rogueboy sprinting towards him firing his blaster, the hit man took cover, Rogueboy jumped over the speeder and landed right next to the surprised hit man and grabbed his hand that was holding his blaster and there ensued a struggle for life. The hit man fought with panic in his eyes both of them grappling for each other's guns both hand preoccupied, and than Rogueboy head butted him right in his nose as hard as he could breaking the hit man's nose, blood started to spurt and Cheech knew the man's bone entered his brain therefore killing him, in the meantime Cheech was seeing stars, he sat down leaning up against the speeder.
Graan finally stuck out his antennae and than his head. "Wow! You actually killed them I'm impressed."
Rogueboy rolled his eyes, than turned towards Graan. "When do we re-negotiate my contract?"
"Dismissing the pleasantries? As soon as we get in and settled."
Rogueboy stood up swayed a little, than straightened out. "Graan? Who was that trying to kidnap you? And any other reason than you own the building?"
Graan shook his head. "I honestly don't know, I received a anonymous message telling me to drop off two-hundred-thousand Imperial Credits in a nondescript bag at the Red Wampa, you know the club on the corner of Palpatine and Mynock."
Rogueboy signed the new deal with Graan, allowing him cheaper board and more storage, and than he went into his apartment and started gearing up on light armour, and weapons. For armour Rogueboy put on his Tuff 1 combat suit, over that he put on his Barabel Microbe armour, than came the weapons; Ryyk blade attached to left hip, DL-44 blaster pistol attached to right hip, dual SH9 silenced pistol in holsters under armpits, grappling gun across his back, and finally Whisper Subsonic Sniper Rifle in a black bag. Rogueboy stepped out of his apartment wearing a black trench coat that covered his arsenal and began to trudge up the street, heading in the general direction of a certain club called the Red Wampa.
When Rogueboy arrived the party was in full swing, the line up was huge mostly with Rodians in varying states of dress, Rogueboy crossed the street and walked into an abandoned building, it was a greyish industrial looking building heavily tagged, Rogueboy walked along passing by rows and rows of old and dusty industrial equipment; repulsorlifts that no longer work, yellow hardhats, and even an old incinerator. Rogueboy walked towards the stairs and climbed to the fifth floor of the building, walking towards a window that faced the Red Wampa he quietly opened it and stared outside, other than the line up he would have been hard pressed to find the club, it looked like a rundown business almost twin to the one he was currently inside. Rogueboy opened the black bag in which his sniper rifle was kept in, he began attaching all the necessary pieces when he finished he set it up on the floor right next to the window and began the short trek downstairs and went to go join the people waiting to get into the Red Wampa.
Rogueboy spend about ten minutes in the line before walking up to the bouncer who was a Gamorrean and slipped him fifty Imperial Credits, the Gamorrean guard grunted and moved aside. When Rogueboy stepped in he was bewildered, you would have never guessed this place looked so good from the outside was his first thought, the club had the usual corner bar but as well as a big dance floor they had a section strictly reserved for couches and relaxation which was in a room sealed by glass and soundproof it had double entrances so noise didn't disturb anyone walking in. There was a band of Bith musicians and they were playing the Bith shuffle, there were also Twi'leks dancing in cages. Rogueboy glanced to his right and noticed a staircase guarded by another Gamorrean, this one even bigger and uglier than the one at the door, the main exception being this one carried a rather oversized looking blaster. Rogueboy followed the staircase with his eyes it led to a balcony overlooking the club, which was covered with more soundproof glass; Rogueboy couldn't see what was there. Rogueboy walked towards the bar and ordered a drink, the bartender was an Arcona.
The Arcona got the drink and put it down on the bar. "Here is your drink, that will be eight Imperial Credits." Rogueboy dug into his pockets and pulled out twenty credits handing them to the Arcona his mind trying to tackle the Gamorrean problem.
Leaning over towards the Arcona Rogueboy asks. "I noticed a staircase where does that lead to?"
The Arcona shrugged. "It's off limits even to me, I'm guessing it's either the owners office or the VIP club."
Rogueboy walked away after realizing the Arcona wasn't going to talk, it wasn't long before Rogueboy was stopped by two large figures wearing dark brown hoods and the only thing visible was four yellow glowing eyes, one of the two robed figures spoke. "The owner of the club would like to have a word with you."
Rogueboy stood shocked than realized the Arcona probably spoke to the club owner via com-link and he sent for the two guards. "I'm at the owner's command."
The guards started to walk towards the staircase, the fat Gamorrean moved aside allowing them passage, at the top of the staircase there were two doors on each side, the door on the left showed a VIP lounge whereas the door on the right was electronically locked. One of the guards passed something through the computer and spoke in a language unfamiliar to Rogueboy, the door than opened inside was an office with two big triangle shaped windows, on either side were bookshelves, in the middle of the room was a desk made of real wood probably at a high value. Behind the desk was an Ewok with light brown fur and dark eyes.
The Ewok glanced at Rogueboy and motioned him towards the seat in front. "Your Rogueboy? From the academy on Tadath? A member of Raider squad?"
Rogueboy glanced at the Ewok and back at the two guards. "Yes and I shall assume that you are Watuk the crime boss around here?"
The Ewok grinned. "Yes and I see that you met my genetically enhanced Jawas who I call Left and Right, now to the matter of business why are you here? And more importantly what do you want?"
Rogueboy folded his arms across his chest grabbing his silenced slug throwers; slowly thumbing off the safety he took his time speaking. "I'm under the impression that you tried to kidnap my land lord, an ass of a Huk called Graan."
The Ewok shook his head. "This wasn't my organization and I'll tell you why, first of all it's simply to close to the academy and I wouldn't risk it simply because of all the heat and stress it would cause. Now why would you think I had anything to do with this?"
Rogueboy thought about this logically for a minute, it didn't make any sense Graan wasn't married and no one liked him enough to pay a ransom on him. "The drop off for the money would have been this club therefore logically thinking it would be you."
Watuk pondered a bit. "What if it was someone who wanted me dead or arrested? This way I would have got the blame should Graan have wound up dead. I think I know who it might be, there's a new crime lord in town goes by the name of Quansi, at the moment he's pretty small time but I have heard a rumour that he was planning something big. I can honestly say I don't know much about him, but what I do know is that he runs an illegal arena and book keeping."
Watuk nodded towards Right who pulled out his data-pad and transferred a file to Rogueboy's data-pad. Watuk looked Rogueboy straight in the eye and said.
"You take care of Quansi that will solve your problem and I will be in your debt. Oh and here's a card if you want to see me again."
Watuk handed Rogueboy a card that was made out of some unusual material, it was blue with a smiling Ewok in the middle and a number under the Ewok. With that Rogueboy stepped out of the office took the stairs down and stepped out of the club walking across the street to the abandoned building to gather his sniper, and than began the long walk home.
When Rogueboy arrived home he cooked a supper he hardly tasted as he made plans for tomorrow, which consisted of going to the academy for classes finishing around 1730 eating supper after that Rogueboy is going gambling.
The betting parlour was everything one would expect a dingy badly lit place and very dirty, there was a staircase leading upstairs and a brunette in a "box" Rogueboy walked up to the brunette woman behind the blaster-shield glass, a faint bluish glow emitted from her "box". The brunette looked at Rogueboy a small smile on her face.
"How may I help you sir?"
Rogueboy was surprised to see someone fairly cute and polite in such a dusty place.
"I was just in the neighbourhood and wanted to check this place out." Rogueboy winced inside but continued. "What is this place exactly?"
The Brunette's smile was frozen on her lips she was probably thinking this isn't one of the regular customers she paused for a good fifteen seconds before continuing. "We're an office."
Rogueboy could practically taste the lie but quickly decided trying to pump her for information would only get her more suspicious. "Could I have a tour? I'm sure such a beautiful person such as yourself has more important things to do but it would mean a lot to me."
The brunette smirked and called security the doors behind Rogueboy closed shut two superdroids came down from upstairs as well as two Bothans. The Bothans were carrying pistols and knives.
Rogueboy looked at the brunette who looked at him with an apologetic face, Rogueboy smiled back and pulled the pin on a smoke grenade, which was attached to the belt in his back. Dropping the grenade Rogueboy dove to the left as a hail of blaster bolts hit where he previously was, putting on his breath mask and drawing out his dual SH9 silenced pistols Silently cursing himself for not bringing night vision goggles Rogueboy started hugging the walls and moving in the general direction of the stairs. As the smoke began to clear up, with one hand on the wall Rogueboy reached for his flash bang taking it he pulled the pin and threw it in the centre of the room, looking away and covering his eyes the flash still dazzled him but he heard the screams of the other three people in the room as well as droid circuits crackling. Rogueboy than began picking his targets first the two humans simply because eventually their eyes will clear whereas the droids visuals were permanently damaged. Rogueboy wasn't going to be merciful with these guys simply due to the fact that they weren't going to be gentle with him. Rogueboy approached the first guy and point blank pulled the trigger the gun let out a small outtake of air and the bullet hit him in his lung the bullet pierced both sides and he flew back and hit the ground, still alive but slowly dying. The second guy Rogueboy decided to have a little fun with and shot him in the groin the man fell on his knees holding his genitals until two shots fire simultaneously took him in both his shoulders, he passed out from shock. Rogueboy than turned towards the brunette who was staring at him in shock, her hands rapidly pressing the security button with no response. Rogueboy smirked but decided she was untouchable.....for now. Rogueboy than proceeded to go up the stairs, reaching a small landing there was a door to his right another to his left and a third with five stairs leading towards it. Rogueboy chose the right which was in the general direction of the brunette he opened the door and was rewarded with steps going down to a door, Rogueboy hurried down the stairs and opened the door sure enough the brunette was standing there.
"Please don't hurt me I'm only doing my job."
Rogueboy rolled his eyes. "You did try to get me killed, what's your name?"
The brunette looked him in the eye."C...C...Christine."
"Well Christine I'm not going to kill you." Christine's composure relaxed a little. "But I can't let you free you saw my face."
With that Rogueboy hit her in the temple with the butt of his silencer Christine slumped down unconscious, on the way back upstairs to the landing Rogueboy noticed his own shoeprints made of blood. Rogueboy reached the landing and decided to the door on this right which was the one with the five stairs, figuring this one was the office Rogueboy tried the door it was locked, Rogueboy pulled out a corrosive grenade dropping it next to the metal door he ran for cover. HISS! Within a few seconds Rogueboy peeked his head across the corner seeing that the gas cleared up he looked around not only had it eaten a hole threw the door but it ate the carpet, a couch, and a guard that was waiting to ambush him in the room. The guard was a Gand and had a hole in his chest big enough for Rogueboy to stick his arm through.
Rogueboy checked out the room, which was an office there was a desk, and two chairs Rogueboy went to the desk and started opening the drawers there were five of them two on each side and one in the middle. The middle one held a heavy blaster, the ones on the left were locked and the ones on the right were filled with coded numbers. Rogueboy pulled out his Ryyk blade sticking the tip under the top of the drawer he ripped open the drawer, pulling it out he saw drugs in it, reaching into the hole he made he pulled out the second drawer which had a ledger that had names of businesses and numbers right after it, Rogueboy assumed it was the incomes list. Putting the ledger in his bag Rogueboy stepped out of the office and checked the door on his right it was a lounge with a bar which was empty probably for the goons Rogueboy thought, he went back to pick up Christine realizing how the hell am I supposed to transport her?
Christine woke up in a strange room she was gagged with her feet and hands tied she was unable to move, she remembered what happened but not how she got here and what he did to her, she heard the sound of an engine slowing down and not long after footsteps just outside the door a key card was swiped and the door open. Rogueboy walked into the room.
"Oh hey your awake, that's a sweet V-35 speeder you have."
Christine obviously didn't say anything so Rogueboy continued. "Alright down to business I'm going to be frank with you: I don't know what to do with you. So here's what I'm gonna take that gag off your mouth you scream I kill you."
So saying Rogueboy pulled out his SH9 silenced pistol and removed Christine's gag, which was a rag, bound half in her mouth and around her head. Throwing the rag in the sink Rogueboy motioned towards a cool glass of water.
"Thirsty? Or would you like something stronger?"
Christine gave Rogueboy a disdainful look. "I would appreciate the water, kidnapper."
Rogueboy took the glass of water and went to Christine's side to administer it. "Here you go kidnappee, just tell me when you want me to put it down."
Rogueboy stared at Christine as she drank the water and thought to himself: wow she's really pretty. Christine stopped drinking and looked at Rogueboy. "Done."
Rogueboy put the water down. "So what would you have me do with you?" He walked to the kitchen and pressed a button in the fridge, a glass shot out and it dispensed him a Jack and coke.
Christine spoke softly. "Let me go please I didn't do anything wrong."
Rogueboy took a sip of his drink and spoke. "I didn't expect to leave anyone alive in that place, I didn't count on someone like you being there, you saw my face I can't let you go." Christine was surprised at the anger in his voice. "My option's are simple, either kill you, let you go or......or you could earn my trust."
Christine looked up with hope in her eyes and than with fear. "And how would I earn this trust?" She said suspiciously.
Rogueboy chuckled. "Nothing sexual I don't believe in raping people but killing I have no qualms, raping disturbs me."
Christine relaxed a little. "Which still leaves us how do you propose to trust me?"
Rogueboy took another sip, pondered a moment and spoke slowly. "I.....don't know."
Christine sighed. "Well how about this for a start by cutting my bonds?"
Rogueboy smiled. "Against my better judgement I'll do that."
So saying Rogueboy cut Christine's bonds she stood up and rubbed her wrists, ankles, and than stretched letting out a purr of satisfaction.
Rogueboy looked at her for a while marvelling her beauty she had black hair, straight and long reaching the top of her breasts her hair only accented her face her eyes were a lovely shade of brown. Christine's nose was straight not to long or to short she had rouge lipstick on. When Christine stretched Rogueboy noticed she had a flat stomach with a light blue belly ring, she was wearing a dress shirt with a decent length black skirt, she took Rogueboy's breath away.
"Are you listening to me?"
The voice broke Rogueboy's reverie. "Sorry, I tuned out." Rogueboy's face was a little red.
Christine let out a giggle. "Anyways as I was saying where am I gonna sleep?"
In my bed with me, was the first thought that popped into his head but Rogueboy dismissed it for a number of reasons: one, that's where he kept the majority of his weapons. Two, it was socially awkward.
"Well, as you can see I don't exactly have a big apartment." His hand outstretched to emphasize how small his three-room apartment was.
Christine took a look around. "How come you don't move into a house or something?"
Rogueboy looked at her with a pained expression. "I plan on next promotion."
Christine looked at Rogueboy with genuine curiosity. "Promotion? I thought you were a hit man?"
Rogueboy gave a hearty laugh. "I'm a government employee, I was doing a favour for a friend."
Christine looked around the room she noticed a chair and table in a corner on the table there were oil rags and a disassembled slug sniper rifle, she than looked at Rogueboy her eyes bright. "What kind of government employee?"
Rogueboy gave a heavy sigh deciding whether to tell her the truth making his decision. "I'm a storm trooper, but what I did has nothing to do with that fact this all happened because someone tried to kidnap my landlord. Anyway I need you to answer some questions: do you know who you were working for?"
Christine's face turned serious. "The betting parlour was owned by an Aqualish named Ronda Bibi, I don't know who he was working for but I know it was someone big. Until you we were never harassed." She said matter-of-factly.
Rogueboy recalled what he could about Aqualish, four eyes and humanoid looking with a resemblance to a monkey. Rogueboy reached into his wallet and pulled out the card that Watuk gave him, taking out his data-pad Rogueboy dialled the number.
"Hello?"
"Hi it's me."
"Whose me?"
"The guy this morning."
"Hold on one moment."
Rogueboy was put on hold the background music was horrible. Christine looked at Rogueboy with a quizzical face he mouthed to her. "A friend." Just than a voice went on the phone.
"Hey Mr. R what can I do for you?"
"Hey, I need to know some info on Ronda Bibi an Aqualish that owned an extinct betting parlour."
The voice on the other line was silent a moment humming a nameless tune to himself.
"Alright got it, Ronda lives on six-two-eight Wescott Street he owns interest options on three minor companies the betting shop, a meat factory, and a farm...."
Rogueboy cut him off. "I'll try the house first, do you know who he answers to?"
"If I knew that I wouldn't have the problem I have."
"Alright ciao."
Rogueboy went to his room and began packing some equipment, even though he was fatigued he knew he could tough this one out. Christine interrupted his thoughts.
"Where are you going?"
Rogueboy glanced at her for a second. "To take care of business."
Christine rolled her eyes. "And what am I going to do?"
Rogueboy paused. "I could do two things knock you out and leave you here, or I could take you with me, you scream or alert someone you die now choose no discussion." That said he resumed his packing.
When Rogueboy was done packing he turned to Christine. "Well what did you choose?"
Christine spoke. "I'm coming."
Rogueboy impatiently said. "Well than get in the land speeder." They were off.
On the ride to Wescott Rogueboy asked questions about the betting parlour the guys that worked there their best customers and so on. They arrived to a middle-class area of town for most of these houses security was minimal, but never the less Rogueboy would have to go in quietly. Rogueboy took the card out of the slot and put it in his wallet turned to the passenger side and spoke to Christine.
"I'm going to lock you in, if I hear you consider yourself dead."
Rogueboy stepped out of the speeder and walked up to the front door he pushed a button a voice spoke next to him.
"Identify yourself and state your business."
Rogueboy answered quickly. "I'm a mutual friend and I'm here to discuss business with Ronda Bibi."
"Hold one moment."
Just than the door slid open and a pair of hands grabbed Rogueboy pulled him into the room, which was a hallway with various doors on either side, a blaster pressed against his skull.
"Who the hell are you?" The man shouted.
"I'm a friend of Thike."
Thike was one of the Bothans that Rogueboy killed, he found out his name from Christine.
The man was thoughtful a minute, putting his blaster in its holster and that spoke. "What does Thike have to say?"
"It's a message reserved strictly for Ronda and therefore I would request to meet him."
"Right this way than."
The man began to walk down the hallway he opened the door farthest to the right, Rogueboy followed. Inside the room there was a staircase leading down and a staircase leading up, the man went down. Downstairs there was a hallway with one door at the end the man approached the door and stopped.
"Go inside he is expecting you, I will be waiting outside."
Rogueboy put his hand on the man's shoulder in what seemed a gesture of friendship; in a fluid motion Rogueboy pulled out his Ryyk blade with the other hand and severed the man's head it fell on the ground with the sound of meat hitting the floor. Rogueboy's hand prevented the body from falling to the floor meanwhile there was blood pooling down his chest and back. Rogueboy let the body fall gradually until it rested on the floor, he than cleaned his blade on the man's pants pushing the body as far against the wall as possible, he than pressed the button to open the door. The door hissed open inside it was an Aqualish family; two children watching a broadcast from the Aqualish home world of Ando, the wife on the couch asleep meanwhile Ronda himself was standing, his back to the couch facing Rogueboy the room was damp and cold as well as dark for which Rogueboy was grateful perhaps Ronda didn't notice the blood yet. Rogueboy shuddered.
Ronda noticed this. "We Aqualish live on a planet with very little land so we prefer the damp sensation, so tell me about this message."
Rogueboy stepped into the light pulling out his DL-54 and shot Ronda in both of his kneecaps the Aqualish went down screaming; the kids just stared at him all eight eyes wide meanwhile the wife woke up and shrank deeper into the couch. Rogueboy looked at the screaming Ronda and spoke.
"Alright, Ronda I'm going to ask you a few questions if you answer them all truthfully I'll leave if you lie to me I'll kill your family right in front of you. Got it?"
The Aqualish nodded his head in obeisance, so Rogueboy continued.
"First of all the money that you make from your investments who do you kick up to?"
Ronda shook his head.
"If I tell you that I might as well be dead."
Rogueboy chuckled at the irony of the situation.
"And if you don't tell me your whole family will be dead as well as you, if you tell me at least you could take the next flight to whatever planet you feel like, of course after you get fixed up."
The Aqualish pondered a little while, than spoke softly.
"I work for a man named Quansi I've only met him briefly once, I can't tell you anything about him because I don't know."
Rogueboy was marking this down in his data-pad.
"Alright and what does Quansi look like?"
Ronda took a while to answer.
"He's a Chiss and I know he moves around between here and Csilla."
Csilla was the Chiss's home world, Chiss were exact replicas of humans with two major differences; they had blue skin and red eyes.
"Do you know where I can find Quansi or at least someone who knows where he is?"
"He has a mistress around here, a high class whore calling herself Chastity she lives at one-forty-five on Baker Street."
"Thanks."
With that parting word Rogueboy left from the door from whence he came.
Rogueboy took the speeder and Christine on Baker Street, it originally started as a street lined with bakers but eventually became a residential area and now the old bakeries became condos. 145 was a very fancy looking condo with windows overlooking the city. Rogueboy walked in and approached the scomp link, using his data pad he managed to hack the system turn off all cameras and open the front door, as well as download the key. Rogueboy stepped in and was immediately hit across the head with a heavy object he fell on the floor and his vision started to swim. Rogueboy whispered to himself.
"C'mon can't go out like this, get up, must not pass out."
Rogueboy heard faint voices and than silence slowly Rogueboy started getting up he saw Christine with his blaster pistol aiming at what he assumed was Chastity, Christine took a quick glance at him.
"You alright?"
Rogueboy grunted spat out some blood and looked at his reflection on the marble floors, his nose was broken.
"Christine honey I need you to do me a favour."
Christine impatiently spoke.
"What?"
"I need you to set my nose."
"I've never fixed a broken bone before, I wouldn't know what to do."
She added hastily.
"Well than you're going to learn how. Use all your strength and push it to your left my right."
"I'm not doing anything until this bitch is tied up."
Rogueboy walked up to Chastity and gave her a backhand blow that sent her spiralling into unconsciousness.
"Good enough?"
Rogueboy was rewarded with a glare and intense pain as his nose was set, he went to go look for a towel to clean up all the blood and tears that crept out. Rogueboy returned with a towel in hand.
"So Christine how come you didn't shoot me and run away?"
Christine shrugged.
"I dunno, sticking around you is more interesting."
Rogueboy's pulse quickened for a second before he assumed that she didn't mean it sexually, I mean honestly he wasn't the most striking guy or even close especially with a bloody nose given to him from a whore. Right now Rogueboy needed a haircut and a shave, his hair was eye length too long for his standards. Christine looked at Chastity and back to Rogueboy.
"When is she going to come to?"
"Now."
Rogueboy pulled out his canteen and emptied it on Chastity's face, she came to sputtering Rogueboy reached into his jacket's breast pocket Chastity's eyes widened as she expected to be put to death, instead the hand came out with a flask which he unscrewed took a sip and offered both ladies who declined. Rogueboy spoke.
"Alright Chastity this is how it is. Tell us where we can find Quansi and I shall leave you unscathed."
Chastity weighed her words carefully before speaking.
"At the moment he's on Csilla in living in a safe house that even I don't know of."
Rogueboy knew she was lying he also knew she wouldn't tell him anything but he had to try.
"Chastity I know your lying tell me where the hell he is or I will kill you piece by piece."
Rogueboy pulled out his Ryyk blade from its sheath and lowered it to her leg, she ratted him out easily enough.
"He's on Csilla in a town called Brutzberg but I don't have the address, just please don't kill me."
While saying that Chastity was on her knees crawling towards Rogueboy he shook her off.
"I'll let you live. Christine sweetie in the car we're stopping off home for some supplies before driving to the space docks."
After they left the house Chastity smiled to herself and opened her data-pad............
When they arrived to the house Rogueboy knew he could trust Christine now, first thing he did was check his data pad to see the climate of Csilla. The Chiss lived in underground tunnels heated by geothermal power stations, they are located as close to the planet's core as possible, mainly due to its above climate being completely winter all year long. Rogueboy packed his snow trooper armour as well as his Barabel armour, a black leather jacket for when he was inside the planet all manner of pistols, his bi-polar blaster, MRB-10, and grenades. He than gave Christine a wad of Imperial Credits and told her to buy some clothes for both climates. After a few hours Christine returned with no credits and a lot of clothes, which she packed in her newly, purchased carry-on. Rogueboy sent a message to the academy via data-pad stating that he was taking a week vacation.
When they arrived at the spaceport Rogueboy checked for two things; one if there were any ships heading towards Csilla and two any pilots willing to fly to Csilla of the first one there was only one cargo ship and the pilot a Chiss himself said he doesn't take passengers. Rogueboy spoke to a couple of pilots and most of them backed off when he said the destination except for this one pilot who was flying a speedy looking variant of the E-9 explorer.
"This is one of the fastest ships, I upgraded the hyper drive engines as well as the weapons which are now quad cannons. I Cletus Groding personally attest to its safety."
Rogueboy was listening to Cletus very intently.
"And how much do you plan to charge for two passengers and carry-on?"
The man looked thoughtful his mind racing.
"To Csilla? ten-thousand credits each."
Than they began haggling. At the end Rogueboy still felt like he was paying too much but it was a necessary trip and hopefully he added to himself a fun one. As the ship departed Rogueboy stayed with the captain while Christine went to sleep. It was Rogueboy's first time in the cockpit of a ship and he wanted to learn everything he could from Cletus, it was a child's dream of his to become a renowned pilot discovering the universe and treasures. The ship was christened Far Rims when Rogueboy inquired as to its name the captain simply said.
"That's what this thing is for boy, to explore the outer rims of space."
The ship went into light speed it's co-ordinates set to Csilla Rogueboy was questioning Cletus about the ship, how to plan co-ordinates, and most importantly what button does what. Cletus had a crew of four three men and one woman Rogueboy was surprised to see that they all look alike except for the woman when he asked it turns out they were all brothers with the woman being newly married to the third brother. Finally they arrived to Csilla, which was a rather large planet the outside of it being pure white, Cletus went on the com link.
"This is Far Rims requesting clearance to land."
"Hello Far Rims this is Csilla Traffic Control docking request granted proceed to co-ordinates 0,20."
The ship flew into the said direction, when they arrived all they saw was snow and ice and than a big crack appeared in the ice and it began to split a different voice came over the com.
"This is traffic control proceed into the hole."
Cletus eased the star ship into the entrance of the dock and proceeded to lower the ship. Rogueboy noticed that Cletus was carefully monitoring the altitude. With a little Bang! they landed, Cletus opened the hatch. Rogueboy was in his room waking up Christine and getting his kit when he heard blaster shots quickly grabbing the nearest weapon that happened to be his standard E-11. Proceeding towards the hatch
Cletus eased the starship into the entrance of the dock and proceeded to lower the ship. Rogueboy started running towards the exit and before you could step out one of Cletus's brothers flew back in a gaping wound in his stomach; he was dead. Cheech slowed down and started to slowly walk down the gangplank peering at the sides for movement, just than a hand grabbed him from behind and jerked him back into the ship it was Cletus.
"Are you crazy? There's a squad of them, you must have pissed someone off."
"Does this ship have any weapons?"
"We carry blasters and the ship has two laser cannons but their fixed as in they don't swivel so they're useless."
"How many of them are there?"
"The computer shows eight life forms."
"Can you hold them here? I got some stuff we could use."
"Just hurry up they got rifles."
Rogueboy ran to his cabin where was almost killed by a blaster bolt fired by Christine.
"Watch it!"
"Oh my god sorry!"
"It's ok just don't let it happen again, I need to find some stuff."
Rogueboy began pulling weapons out of his carry on, now fully armed he proceeded to the hatch once again. Cletus was there with the other survivors.
"Welcome back I thought you ran off where to I don't know. We took down one of the bastards making sure that as soon as they turn the corner their going down. I think they're going to try to wait us out."
"Not anymore they won't."
With that Rogueboy pulled the pin to a flash bang the pin hit the metal floor of the spaceship, meanwhile the grenade hit the ground outside all the defenders averted their eyes. Their were screams from outside the spaceship that was his cue and Rogueboy ran out blasting with the crew his Bi-polar ringing out blasts and cutting down the Chiss attackers; the battle was over in seconds the casualties on both sides were six Chiss dead, two injured, and one of the two mortally. The crew only lost one. Rogueboy approached one of the injured.
"Tell me where Quansi is and I'll make your passing quick."
"I will never betray my master. You have no idea what is at stake or even who the real enemy is now leave a Chiss alone as he says his prayers."
The Chiss made an odd sign in the air and than kissed the ring on his finger, a closer inspection to the ring showed it wasn't a ruby on the tip but rather a compartment that hid some kind of power. Than it dawned on Rogueboy suicide ring, a quick glance towards the Chiss and it showed he was too late. Rogueboy ran as fast as he could towards the other Chiss but once again it was to late. Christine came next to Rogueboy put a comforting hand on his shoulder and spoke.
"Don't worry we'll find the bastard."
"I know we will but now I don't have any leads.
"How hard is it to find one man?"
"Pretty hard especially if he knows your coming for him, right now we're going to get rooms at a shady hotel and than go dig up some information."
The booked themselves into a nearby hotel. At first Csilla was a very unusual place, for example when you looked up you couldn't see the sun, all you would see is shiny marble that reflected the light glow of the geothermal lamps. Rogueboy and Christine headed towards a nearby bar after getting some directions from the receptionist. The bar had artistic masterpieces everywhere the eye could see, Christine leaned over to Rogueboy and whispered.
"This is supposed to be a dirty bar?"
"Never read about the Chiss did you?"
"Never thought I would go to Csilla."
"They're comprised of universally renowned artists."
"Interesting."
The two moved straight towards the bar ordered drinks paid and began mixing around with the locals. At the end of the night the two met up again, Rogueboy was the first to speak.
"What do you got?"
"I met some guy who came into some money recently."
"How did he come around by it?"
"Vaguely he preferred to keep buying me drinks. What about you?"
"I got an address. I'm going to look it up."
Rogueboy pulled out his data-pad and punched a few things in it, and let out a breath.
"Thank god it's actually in here I thought he was lying, but it could still be a trap."
"Take care of it tomorrow?"
"Sure."
The two went back to their hotel, they shared a bed but Rogueboy wasn't planning to do anything until she put her arms around him&&&&
The next morning they stayed at the hotel waiting until nighttime, when it finally descended they made their move. Rogueboy was armed with his silenced pistols, grenades and E-11 blaster rifle as well as his Gladius sword. Christine meanwhile was armed with his DC-17M and a DH-17 pistol. The plan was simple Christine would go by the front two minutes after Rogueboy entered from the rear they would communicate VIA comlink until Rogueboy entered and than there would be radio silence.
Rogueboy used his data-pad to open the back door he told Christine he was going in and to count two minutes, he entered and hugging the walls sneaked into the next room, which turned out to be the kitchen so far nothing. Rogueboy took a flight of stairs that went upwards, at an interval he looked as his data-pad twenty more seconds until Christine comes in. Rogueboy entered a room that was empty the room adjacent to it was empty as well he spoke slowly to himself.
"How is this possible&&Oh Shit!"
Picking up his comlink he tried to get a message to Christine.
"Christine don't go through the door."
Just than his data-pad vibrated, he looked 00:00 He heard the door open underneath him seconds before a resounding Boom! Which made him fly in the air.
Rogueboy opened his eyes, he was under a pile of rubble the pain that went through his body was unbelievable, he tried not to move but it hurt nonetheless, just than he heard voices.
"Anyone alive?"
"I don't think so Master Quansi."
"I want a positive answer Tyrome got it?"
"Yes Master."
Rogueboy sneaked a peek and was rewarded with five Chiss four of them with the looks of mercenaries but the third was the prize, wearing a nice business suit and looking respectable it was Quansi. Feeling around for any of his weapons Rogueboy didn't have anything his pistols slipped out of their holsters because he never had them buckled in case he needed to pull them out fast. The grenades seemed to have vanished, only weapon he had near him was his gladius, which landed blade first in a small pile of rubble the sheath completely burnt off. Rogueboy made his move quickly diving towards it, pulling it out of the rubble was slightly harder than it seemed but due to his momentum he managed it. The pain all over his body was intense and he almost passed out from the effort, just over the pile of rubble he could see Christine's corpse or rather what was left of it; completely charred black it could have been anyone if only what appeared to be a gun wasn't melted in her hands. One of the guards looked up only to have his head lopped off, his blaster falling to the floor with his body, Rogueboy quickly picked up his blaster fired at another guard and on the second shot hit the Chiss in his throat; he died gargling. The other guards got their bearings and began returning fire and taking cover, meanwhile Quansi stood out in the open arms crossed cool. A shot hit Rogueboy in his chest half of it hitting the Barabel armour the other half singing his underarm, he cried out in rage and dropped the blaster, running as fast as he could in his condition; not realising what was happening the red mist descended to violently and Rogueboy was out of control. Cheech reached his first target who looked over his cover only to receive a boot to his head as Rogueboy kicked him and than drove his sword into his chest, the other guard right next to him managed to get a shot off which hit Rogueboy's foot seconds before he was impaled as well. Quansi clapped.
"He said you would have done well."
"Whose he?"
Rogueboy responded with his teeth gritted.
"Still haven't caught on yet have you? Guess not, Ral hasn't forgotten, and he has become profitable and wants your head. Tal has had the wisdom to hire me to get rid of you and I have succeeded."
Quansi pulled out a blaster and took aim at Rogueboy's head.
"Any last words?"
"Yeah give a message to Ral."
"What is it?"
"Go to hell."
Rogueboy threw his sword as hard as he could at Quansi aiming for his head, his aim was off and it took Quansi in the chest and through his spine. Quansi looked down seconds before falling down, Rogueboy limped to his side and pulled out the gladius, giving it a little twist while doing it. Quansi spoke a few words before he died.
"What do you plan to do now?"
"First kill you and than go for Ral another day."
Rogueboy brought down the blade.
