Hey Folks,
I am lookin for a cool LUXURY LINER/YACHT because I think every Commander should have a Ship to fly around...  And I need a private ship to get to the Senate or to get to a party with my guys on Tatooine....or to meet Queen Amidala on Naboo to get some drinks with her and later discuss some political things ...*caught**caught*-.....err, I need a ship, ok? 
It should be small, not more than 5 passangers and not more than 10 people of crue. I have looked for some in the Shop and in IVE but I havent find the right one. Pleaze help me out!

I recommend you "find" one in the Army Chapter 7 story, and "liberate" it for yourself  -----------------------

Well, alright.. go to www.google.com and do an Image search for "Star Wars ships" or something, and look for one. Save it on to your hard drive, email it to Fury and tell him you'll pay him 100k (or whatever) for him to sell it to you as a real item. Happy? -----------------------

Well...........
As happy as we be to sell freighters, shuttles, transports, yachts, etc. from the store, we have one little problem.
There is no infrastructure for licenses yet. Yes, naval personnel are authorized for starfighters, and thus far have been able to purchase those, but for the rest of the membership, it's zero sum gain.
I get at least 2-3 requests for ships every time I sign onto IRC so I know there is a huge demand for ships. I currently have one gathering dust in the IC hangar just waiting to go off on a vacation.
So, here's the deal...kind of a good faith concept. Post here what you would like to own as a ship...troll through the IVE list and see what you might like (many more are to be added soon). Ask me about it if you don't see it.
Leave a short post here about what kind of ship you'd like (and can realistically crew, afford, and maintain). Then it can be ready to pick up the day you buy a license and arrange to have the price lowered to actual purchase price.

Hmm...guess we won't know the true price of things until they hit the store, but get me any specific questions and I'll see what I can do. I am doing a lot of stat work (that's why there aren't any new items as of late) and will be adding a bunch of stuff to IVE over the next week or so.
As for the Mouldy Crow, I've found that there are 2 manufacturers for it (I forgot that). So it's either the CEC Fast Courier or a Vangaard Gyre a3 - or something like that. The store will carry both as quite a few ships come from different manufacturers. -----------------------

So I can just repeat what I said - a nice luxury liner or yacht for me. Should cost about 70.000 IC's and should be like...hm, Queen Amidalas Starship in large and design. -----------------------

As to the new features that prevent you from buying a ship if you lack the required liscence:
Let us assume, for a moment, that I was a high ranking member of the Imperial Army.  The pay I recieved for this positition would allow me to not only acquire a ship, but also a pilot. And what good ruler doesn't have his own planetary defense fleet? If at all possible, I suggest adding something that doesn't prevent the purchase of ships; rather, it costs extra maintenance (per month) for the cost of a pilot if you lack a pilots liscence.

How's this for an idea?
Give me until early next week to add some space yachts rather than beat on the store for not providing what it can't sell. It's the standard honey vs. vinegar debate.

Thanx for all those comments and thanx to Fury - yes, you are really doin a great job and I guess we are all very happy to have this store in the VE! 
And yes, I still want my yacht, I think a good officer.....or becomeing officer, need a ship - and the pilot is no problem, I will pay him everytime I need him. There are enough young pilots who need some pocket money in the Navy, I think....
So, add those ships Fury, pleaze!

For some reason some people only keep trying to focus on what I am too polite to even mention as an often occurrence at the Fury household. Good luck yourselves. Too bad suckers....ha, ha.
