For as long as this rather short, yet decently built human could remember, he wanted to be in the skies. Doing what, he honestly did not care as long as it was something.
Yoshi was born into a rich, snobbish Corellian family. While his other three siblings (two brothers and one sister) where into the whole thing, Yoshi never felt like he fit in. All the classy customs and rich ways were just not his style. Dreading every family reunion or outing, Yoshi oftentimes kept to himself, or so his family thought. Nearly every night since he was eight years old, Yoshi snuck out of his mansion room to see his true friends; mostly homeless kids of the poor side of town. He had met them one day when he got separated from his class on a field trip. These very friends would be his future crewmates on many smuggling expeditions.
One night, when Yoshi was out having a good, wreckless time, something happened that would change his life forever;

"Is that?..." One of the boys intruiged
"Definatly" Yoshi cut in
"Wanna try and get in?" the tallest of the lot pipped
"Definatly" Yoshi answered "Holden?"
"Mmm"
"You think you can break into this thing?" Yoshi inquired
"If I was able to break into the Mayor's cruiser to steal a handful of credits I should have no problem with this" Holden, the oldest of the pack replied
The four boys and one girl crept towards the starcruiser. They ran to the underside and opened up a panel. A couple of seconds later, a bunch of wires were lying on the ground;
"Ok, the security system are disabled" the only girl confirmed
Holden nodded and motioned for his friends to follow. They ran towards the ship's entrance. The girl, once again opened up a concealed panel and began her work. A couple of minutes later, the door slid open.
The five delinquents crept into the jewel of a ship, jaws dropped in awe. Then, the life changing idea came;
"Hows about we take off in this thing, leave this place behind" Holden proposed, as if it were nothing.
Yoshi's mind buzzed. This would easily be the worse thing he had ever done. Then again, this is the opportunity he had been looking for, at last a chance to leave behind his fake life.
"I'm in" Yoshi stated, simply and clearly
Looks of disbelief crossed his comrades' faces.
"Are you sure about this Yosh?" the girl asked "I mean after all, you have money and everything here, is this what you really want?"
"You know what I think about my family. You know I despise everything they stand for. You know this is really what I want."
One by one, Yoshi's friends pledged allegiance to each other, whatever the end may be.
Somewhere throughout his life, Holden learned how to fly a ship much like the one they found themselves on. At least, well enough to fly them out of the hell hole they were in. His hands flicked various switched and turned many dials. The luxury cruiser hummed to life as Holden's voice was heard over the intercom;
"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain Holden speaking. Please, strap yourselves in for take off"
Everyone complied with his orders and took theirs seats, huge smiles on their faces. Slowly, the cruiser began to leave the ground as the powerful whirl of the engines got louder, then without warning, the cruiser shot into space.
At last...he was free...

For many years, Yoshi and his friends served as smugglers and mercenaries for various criminal organizations. During these years, Yoshi developed many un-orthodox skills and learned how to pilot ships.
The fortune of glory that came out of their doings were huge. Unfortunately, all good things do eventually come to an end.
One day, while passing near the planet Cepany,
The Renegade, Yoshi's crew's ship, got attacked by local security. They were forced to crash land on the planet. As soon as their ship hit ground, authorities were swarming the ship. Each crew member made a run for their safety, some didn't make it.
Holden and the two other men got stopped and are still in some high security prison until this day. Fizz, the only woman in the crew managed to escape from the wreckage. Yoshi had also escaped on a stolen speeder, but got separated from his female counter part and still hasn't heard from her since.
Yoshi managed to escape from the initial raid and hide in a local pawn shop for a couple of days, while he contemplated his next actions. Then the answer was clear to him one day as he was walking down one Cepany's main streets; Join the Imperial Navy.
He crossed the street and headed into the recruitment center. Before he knew it, he was on his way to Vectra...
