Also, to say that this club teaches you nothing shows that you have learned absolutely nothing during your time here. We help people become better writers, so don't give me any of that "waste of time" bullshit.
You posted here with your "resignation notice" in a direct, but poor method. Fine - I don't care about that, but when it comes to posting on other topics (such as your Squad boards), you should know better than to write shit comments. You're just a stupid-ass twelve-year-old for doing that. If you're not twelve, then you should probably gain a few more points in maturity before posting on a public forum.
People here deserve respect no matter what their interests. I don't give a damn if you call us nerds, but to call us a waste of time and to tell us to get a life is completely uncalled for.
If you want to leave the VE, then at least do so in a respectful manner. Otherwise you're just unwanted baggage lingering around. Honestly, after those remarks, I'm happy to see your leave. -----------------------

Splinter, i went into the reserves for about two days last week and then i realised it takes about 15 minutes every day to be active! Just dont waste your time in 'the lounge' , or 'reply wars'.
Since i've joined my writing has gotten better; it was 'oh my gosh! thats awefull!' bad, and nows its just really bad. Before i joined i had no clue how to make a website, but this got me interested in that stuff (i dont know how this got me interested...).
Just come back. Im sure they'd give you one more chance.
edit: I take this all back. I just read everything he wrote on the lancer topic.

Like others have said, this club does many things for your writing skills...
I've learned to improve my writing, become more creative and imaginative, and received advice from a large amount of people.
If you have learned ANYTHING, you shouldn't post a resignation and say this wasnt worth the effort. There have been alot of people who put up with your crap to help see you improve, but to go out like this is unexceptable.
I know Splinter is now unable to read any of this, but it royally pisses me off to leave in such a beligerent manner.

This comes as a Surprise to me. I thought you were a good Trooper, and I'm sorry you think that it is a waste of time. As your Element leader and Fellow squad member, I think I speak for all of us Lancers when I say this. I know I was angry, (as you can see from my post) but theres no point in rambling on. Fact is: Private First Class Splinter_Seal is gone, no ifs, ands or buts about it. Even if he can read this, he cannot participate in any VE related event, and even if he does come on with a different name...he will still carry around the heavy feeling of guilt that would be caused by his actions. Spouting off like that is unreasonable, and that can be realized even by the person who does it.
You're all angry, as you should be, but no use in wasting time and energy releasing thoughts that will have no bearing on the person who commited the action.
Those specific type of people have to understand what they did and learn from it THEMSELVES, insulting them repeatedly will only make things worse.
I'm not condoning anything he did, because truthfully, that ticked me off. No use in adding insult to injury though... -----------------------
