1) We have better names. "Fury" is "Riel Fury". "Talon" is "Claw" (much more aggressive-sounding, eh?  ). "Cosmic" is.. well, I'll get back to you on that one.
2) We get paid more. Because girls like pilots more than soldiers. So we get paid more, to buy more hair-gel, you see.
3) Our uniform is cooler. In Ceremonial Dress, everyone from a Leading Crewman to a Captain (I think) has white shoulder boards, so even the lowest ranks look cooler. Also, we have a brown tunic, so the gravy doesn't show when we spill our dinner.
4) We have cooler sounding ranks. "Petty Officer" is equivelent to Sergeant, for example. And Admirals are better than Generals.
5) We have better equipment. The average Navy pilot could have a Wing of starfighters with him in a few minutes. The average Stormtrooper could have a little droid that goes "beep!" and says "Evaluation: Death imminent".
6) The girls like a pilot more. "Wanna come see my Interceptor?" sounds better than "Wanna come see my blaster?". Of course, it depends on the girl.
7) A recent survey has showed that Navy members eat more green vegetables than Army members. 'nuff said.
8) The Navy command structure is better than the Army one. The Navy Commanders, in their infininte wisdom, have managed to place me in a position where I can't do any serious damage. Therefore, they must be doing SOMETHING right.
9) By now, the Army guys have got so annoyed, that they've stopped reading this.. So all the Navy guys are coooool! But you can go home now.
10) The only person stupid enough to have read up to here is Droma. Now go home. -----------------------

Ships go boom when a SAM is set up. 
Fury isn't Riel Fury.. Fury is Fury and Riel Fury is Dragoon.
I, for one, don't wear my uniform. I prefer a black cloak.
Pilots have to land some time..

The DJO kicks both of their arses cause the DJO wears cloaks, gets lightsabers, and has me in it If I wasn't in it, it wouldn't be nearly as good, but since it does, it kicks arse.

I may not agree with the reason Bear gave as to WHY the Navy is better than the Army . . .
But come on, people. We all know the Navy is better. Just look at our activity rating. Or at our awesome story.
Now, I'm not trash-talking the Army. But let's be realistic here - we flyboys are just SO much better.
In fact, I can sum up why the Navy is better in two words:
Aegis Squadron.

Well iI can't say much either way becuase I'm in both Army and Navy, but I do have to day that FA and Aegis are too full of themselves, you're bringin' down our self esteem, how do you expect us to get any better if you're flaunting your goodness. All I've got to say is that Aegis Rocks. They helped make the Navy #1. And How could the Army get anywhere in the galaxy without the Navy. I mean c'mon. The Army doesn't have very many ships, especially ones that can carry their equipment. Well that's the only reason the Navy is better than the Army. -----------------------

*Sigh* I will attempt to settle this now. A Navy and an Army have an equal amount of men. The Navy has their command structure (which probably takes half their men) and the Army has theirs (which takes a lot less people). So the Army can control the surface of the planet. Ahh, but the Navy is capable of cutting off supply lines to those planets. In fact, the Navy is required for those planets to get supplies at all. If the Navy was mad at someone in the army, what could they do. Hmm. . . Perhaps annihalate the entire planet. And there is nothing the Army can do about it; planetary defenses cannot stop a full-fledged bombardment.
So thats it.
The Navy is better.

I think the army can stop a full planetary bombardment.  Solely by te large scale use of ion cannons and tactical AA weapons. I don't know about the deathstar though, if it even belongs to the navy. |

One more thing, army members are cheaper to recruit cause they don't handle equipment thats so expensive that the navy hoards it all. Thats probably the reason why pilots get paid more, they handle expensive equipment. Army rocks. |
