BRIEF HISTORICAL REPORT:
Darr-Rann was born under the name Rannik Cedaan to the wealthy Cedaan noble family of Coronet, Corellia. He and his brother Jad both studied a great deal in school and Applied for a Medical Academy position when he was at the Age of 16. Darr-Rann was excepted, and his brother was not. This caused great tension in the household and crippled the brother's friendship.
At the age of 17, Darr-Rann met Keith Jorr, and they became friends. One day, Keith told Darr-Rann of the resistance group he and his sister belonged to against the New Republic. Darr-Rann, having always supported the Empire, decided to join. There he met Keith's sister Sarah, who he later fell in love with and became engaged to.
They waged war against the New Republic, but were smaller in number and did not have as great resources. Soon, in a desperate attempt to cripple the New Republic's hold on Coronet, they launched an attack against the New Republic police headquarters, creating a siege that lasted for Two days. In this battle, Keith was shot down by a rebel soldier. Darr-Rann rushed the soldier with his vibroblade, and was cut across the side of his left eye, giving him his scar. This badly damaged his vision, and he was overtaken by the Republic soldiers.
Captured, he was kept in the station for three days, before his father found him, and pulled some strings to have him released and brought home. His father then payed a group of Corellia's best surgeons to attempt to repair his eyesight. The operation was successful, and his vision was restored to it's proper state.
His father asked of him to give up his membership in the resistance and allow the Rebels to take command of the planet. This proposal did not work out well with Darr-Rann, and he refused. His father, infuriated at his son, disowned him, taking from him his name and membership in the Cedaan family. This is when Rannik took up the name of Darr-Rann, the name meaning "Dark Rannik".
Darr-Rann rejoined the other members of the resistance in their hideout, were he had discovered his brother Jad had joined, convincing Darr-Rann that maby they could be friends once again. He was wrong. Soon, during a meeting of the resistance, Jad led the New Republic forces to the resistance base, betraying his brother.
Darr-Rann's life was saved by his fiance, who pushed him out of the line of fire, being killed in the process. Darr-Rann was thrown from the building by the explosions of the assault, carrying him to a nearby connection bridge were he lost consciousness. He awoke after the attack had concluded, and left in search of revenge against his brother.
He found out that Jad had become a Rebel officer, and also had a great deal of power in the less legal organizations of Coronet. He left the planet, seeking the Vast Empire, following the information given to him by a member of the Vast Imperial Army, a old friend named Yillis.
He registered in the army and soon ended up in the same squad as the pre-mentioned soldier, Lancer. He currently is a member of that squad today. Recently, one of his friends had been killed, Apparently by his brother Jad, who seems to have discovered that he did not die in that raid back on Coronet. This action has furthered Darr-Rann's desire for revenge, and it is likely the conflict is not over yet.
