There's a link on the main VE Page that say Java Chat. Just click on that, and then read the Code of Conduct (which I advise to read for the first-timers) and scroll down to the bottom and click the button. Once the new screen loads in a separate window, fill in your name and choose which IRC channel you want to join (Probally the Main VE Channel would be the best). Then click Connect and you're on.

thats how you chat on jirc. If it's mIRC you want it's slightly harder so probably jirc is better.

and Hellra, it's "am", present tense.

Java is easier for people who have not had experience with mIRC. mIRC, however, is a far more superior means of communication, and has a lot more features than Java Chat.

I'm currently revamping the Stormtrooper Corps Academy/Drill Squad website, and I have instructions on there on how to setup mIRC. I'll have it out shortly.
