I was cruising around our site and a friend came in and was watching me, he likes star wars to and after about a hour, he said he was going to start a site that is focused on the New Republic and the Light Side of the Force!!! Thought I should let you know that he stated that his site is going to conflict with ours! [Awaiting reply]

Thats all well and good. Good luck to him in getting members. No one can beat what Kad has doen with the VE. He'll end up either 1)making some half-@$$ed freewebs site or 2)Getting bored making the site

Those things run a far far second to being able to develop dynamic webpages when it comes down to website design. Also presentation is a big part of it, if it looks like crap, people will think its crap. I can program with the best of them, but I can't design pages because I don't really have the graphics-oriented talent to make them look good. Unless he's able to slap down some coldfusion or php and has some sort of database sitting behind everything, his site will likely seem pretty dinky next to the monolith that is the VE's site (which has been continually evolving for many years).
