Its one he doesn't have access to alter. I think one at his school. He may be able to use the FES's comtech to use IRC once Talon is back and works with the FES's techies to get it working again. -----------------------

And the problem is one that I can't fix. It's the strangest thing, because I can do anything else, I'm at college, so it's not like they restrict our internet access. But whenever I try it, it can't find any servers. That is with Java, mIRC, and pIRC, tried them all. Isn't my firewall though, because it happened before I had it up. -----------------------

I remember that I got permission from a teacher at my high school to get up IRC after hours (usually when I stayed and helped after school when I had nothing else to do). Don't know if that will work for college, though. -----------------------

I'll note that VirusScanners can block ports too. I recently installed one and it specifically blocked IRC ports. I had to stop it before I could get on IRC again. For reference, it was McAfee. -----------------------

New computer, or do you just update constantly... Have it at my pop's house... Can't tell you how well it works though, cause I only have internet over the summer there. Even then thouh, never had problems with it...
