Well, you're in my flight. Welcome aboard. We consist of myself, Gene Starwind, Scout, and you. Normally I'd be sending a welcome e-mail, but I figure I might as well just post it here.

First order of business is going to be your ID line. The ID line is the part of your signature that tells everyone about your rank, position, medals, etc. Instructions can be found on the Navy site, you can check the link from the VE main page. Here's an example. This is mine, but it's now a bit outdated.

Next is story writing. There's a club-wide story going on, called Chapter 8, but there's a bit of a break right now between missions. You can go ahead a read some of it if you like. Basically the VE is in the process of trying to recapture Coroscant (I can never figure out if I'm spelling that right). We'll be recieving new orders probably sometime after the holidays. In the meantime we're working on some character development, should be a perfect chance to get a feel for how our stories work. Sometimes we have stories for just the Navy, or a certain squadron (right now there's only one, we used to have several), or just for ourselves. If you want an example of a personal story, mine is titled A Rodent's Tale (yes, it's a cheap rip-off of the movie Knight's Tale )

At the end of the week we all send in reports of our activity so that the HC boys know what all we've been doing. You'll need to send them to Denethor, our squad leader, his assistant Shazam, and me. Our e-mails are all on the roster (there's a link from the main page). If you can get those in by the afternoon (Eastern Standard Time) on Fridays, we'd appreciate it. It doesn't have to be complicated, just list some of the things you've worked on. I'm happier with a report of no activity than no report at all.

Again, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I know sometimes this place can be a bit confusing.

There's a U in that planets name somewhere, have a hell of a time trying to remember.  Coruscant?  That seems right... 

mIRC is just a sign that your being active as well as your chance to interact with your fellow members of this club, Zeke.  We also hold RPG and such in the rooms, I believe.  And yes, I suppose the weirder side does tend to make an appearence on the IRC channels...  *Dunno.
