I was wondering if anyone else saw Episode VI on DVD yet. I saw it last night, and in the celebration after the destruction of the second Death Star, they added Naboo and changed Anakin's spirit to look like him in Episode III. It's real cool, and you have to check it out!!

i dont like thier addition of the young anikan, thats pretty stupid. however courasant and naboo and those additions i liked.
and it wasnt the destruction of the Empire, it was the destruction of the 2nd Death Star, just a heads up

I like how the Jedi Temple was added in the background of Coruscant, but it was confusing. I completely dislike how the young Anakin replaced the older one. I feel it messes up our view and understanding of the force completely.
I truly thought one retained the image they had at death, not before falling to the dark side. Bah, it was evil, just like the crazy gungans celebrating on Naboo. And why were they all celebrating there anyway? I thought Naboo loved the Empire and the Emperor. -----------------------

Well, I don't care what any of you think. I thought it was cool the way they made it. It sort of shows you that the Original Trilogy came after the Prequel Trilogy. (You don't know how many people I've met that think Episodes I, II, and III come after Episodes IV, V, and VI!!) -----------------------

They almost seem that way really. I mean, the technology of the latest movies is above the technology of the last, or so it would seem. The only effort they've made to make it look older is Anakin's arm at the end of EP2... That is assuming you've seen The Empire Strikes back were look gets his hand chopped off but he gets a lifelike replica with skin and feeling and all that good stuff... -----------------------

I think they "had" to put the new anakin in, it at least ties up things a bit. it would of been more creepy having the other guy in there now. It wouldn't make sense to have what anakin would of looked like when he died, he would of been half a body if even that, or even better still in his vader suit which would of been hilarious. -----------------------

Gah, friggin' gungans. They ruined PM.
I say stay with the old Anakin. Haven't seen Ep 3 yet, nor the DVD's, but they should've stuck with the old Anakin.

IIRC, in the original release, Ian McDiarmid (sp?) only played the Emperor in ROTJ, they had a different guy in ESB. In the DVD release, they re-filmed the scene where Vader talks to the Emperor at Hoth so that it is McDiarmid. -----------------------

Actually to make it even more funny, it's been said that the original Emperor in ESB was an old women with lots of makeup and chimpanzee eyes added after. So to me, replacing that was one of their best ideas. Rancor coloring and border line removal was great as well, and even the added Hutt was a bit better then the Special Edition one or A New Hope's man in a fur jacket.
I don't agree with Anakin being added one bit, nor the Jedi Temple when Jedi have been 'extinct' for some time during that period. Lightsaber effects in New Hope should have been improved though, such as the flicker when Luke turns it on for the first time or Obiwan's flickering out while he fights Vader.
Still it's worth it just for the excellent image quality and also getting some shots of the movies I always wanted...

your both idiots, if you dont mind my saying so, the jedi temple was on Corusant, it shows it plainly in EP2 and 1, the *new* ultra dumb jedi temple is on yavin 4, the one luke piemaker put up, however it would stand to reason that the old one wouldn't have moved much, unless it was destroyed, however their making that building so obvious in EP VI is too much of a coincidence. i mean watch the movie, its obvious, the senate is a dome, like seen in the prequels, that had to have been the temple of the old order of the jedi, i'm just glad luke didnt soil it with his set-up and instead put his on yavin 4. -----------------------

The emperor probably made it into an office complex or something scince he erradicated many of the traces of the jedi. And it is ironic that Luke make his HQ on Yavin considering it was a massassi/sith Temple. -----------------------

in the EU he did, however we have confirmed the movies moviing away from the EU in several places, thye wouldnt have made it so obvious if it wasnt meant to be the jedi council, however LW's notion is about right i think, and i'm perfectly willing to agree. as for the temple on yavin, yeah, i s'pose, however i do believe thats why he put it there, or atleast put it there because of some feeling in the force. . .as much as i hate to admit piemaker could do anything right. . . -----------------------
