Okay, gaming night was a total blow-over. In total I had the following people sign up.
Roxy
Art
LW
Sam
Zafo
The following people have showed up.
Roxy - played bowling and beat art
Art - played bowling with Roxy, and attempted JO with LW
Zafo - showed up and left cause no one was on
Sam - was reinstalling his OS, so he could not attend.
I am very disappointed in you wildcards. You have been made aware of this since Sunday (I made a note about it in Wildcard NOTES 9/5) Furthermore, I took the time to E-MAIL you all on monday about it. There is no excuse for anyone NOT to know about it. My question to all of you is the following: What happened?
Is it that:
1. You don't want to play games and didn't attend.
2. Thursday is a bad day.
3. You could care less about the Army, furthermore the VE: and don't participate.
4. For some odd reason you had no idea about the whole thing.
5. You don't want gaming nights.
I really want an answer from all of you. I think we have a potentially good thing here, it just needs to be kicked off. I think you'll all agree with me. So, to encourage you to respond to this: I'll make you a deal. Those who respond to this by Sunday's meeting time (either by comnet or e-mail) will get a special lottery ticket from me. I will post the results and notify the winner of the prize. -----------------------

As you put i attempted to play Art some JO, it got too laggy for him. Aside from that I had some RL issues pop up which requred some of my attention. other than that i believe it is a good idea, but it seemed like people either forgot or there wasn't that much hype. heck i even showed up for Trivia but that never got off. -----------------------

Agreed. I wasn't gonna do it for 2-4 people. I know there is a reason, I just wanna know what I'm doing wrong. Is it the day? the approach? I just want some answers here. -----------------------

I find that Thursday makes a very bad day for any gaming day because of after-school activities. Saturday wouldn't work for myself either because I work most Saturdays. A Friday could probably work, though we need to find a better way to distribute the notice of when it is. I'd like a gaming night, gives the platoon something to do. Hmm, don't think Wildcard notes works in the way of getting people to see it, perhaps post it in the squad topic sections, then it may more likely be seen.
I think I looked at it once, but just skimmed through the message and left. I also never got e-mailed about it, and when the whole notice about inter-squad warfare, or whatever you want to call it, went out, I had to rely on Argon in order to receive it. Perhaps the Platoon needs a secretary or staff section to get out the word to people. -----------------------

its not that somuch as im realy into BF1942, Crimson skys and AvP2 right now, plus i dont have a fixed schedual, i cant say if im going to be on five minutes from now. -----------------------

I Think the only problem is the time. Thursday is pretty much in the middle of the week, when people are least likely to be available. I think the best time would be either fryday or saturady. Sunday wouldn't be good, because people have school/work the next day so wouldn't be able to stay up too late.

I like the saturday thing. I wonder how that calculates out to our friends on the eastern half of the world though. Prolly makes it a Sunday for them. -----------------------

This is all I'll say about the date, You either live your life on the weekend or the week. personally Thursday is a fantastic day for me, but i think it is likely to change with everyone else's schedules. maybe having the thing on two connecting days would work??? -----------------------
