Alright, now i, being a proud owner of KOTOR for my PC was very excited to learn about the second one, untill i read down and found out it was X-Box only. now what kind of freakin moron releases a RPG on a console, consoles are ment for fighting game, ie Soul Calibur 2 wich i happily own on my X-Box and GameCube, but realy, what is it that LucasArts suddenly has agains the PC? why mucst they release an X-Box only sequel to an extremely good game, dose GL suddely hate me, i think my whole world just imploded. why? thats all i want to know, it just dosent make sence, i am never going to buy another LucasArts game again untill i see that game for PC. i was hoping thye would release it and editing tools on the PC and acctualy try to both make people happy and simutaniously make money. but LucasArts has to be a bunch of [Edit:doing this for you] and not release the game on a platform actualy ment to play RPGs, this whole concept confuses me. i was literaly in tears when i found out it wasnt on PC.
excuse the rant/complaing, now im going to go burn all my starwars games, tapes and my Indian Jones DVDs.

In reference to the 'morons' and 'console RPG' points. I own KOTOR on XBox, as do many other people. It works extremely well on the XBox. It went to No.1 of the charts very quickly, and has taken a number of XBox, and RPG game of the year awards. -----------------------

FFX doesn't even compair to KOTOR. Yeah, it was a Final Fantasy game, but even still.. KOTOR blew it out of the water.

as i said, the PC is still better than consoles for RPGs, and because of consoles KOTOR was only half as good as it could've been on the PC. and originaly they where going to release at the same time, but LA changed it for some reason i cant remeber, i swear though, PC games that Co-Release on Consoles are only about half as good as they could be, ei Deus Ex 2, KOTOR, Morro. . .well Morrowind was still good on a PC. and i had it on X-Box, i just lit it on fire after about two days of hating using JoyPads. and i burnt my Wind Waker game cuz it sucked too, and its not an RPG, its an adventure game.
oh and an after thought, i couldnt use my arrow keys on KOTOR for movement because i hate WASD scheme, i blame the co-release for this issue

So you would have denied console owners the privilege of playing such a superb game? Shame on you for being so selfish.
Don't blame a console release for a game being 'half as good', anyway it's not 'half as good as it could've been', it's a superb game, and undoubtedly the best star wars game ever. Blame the porters for doing a sloppy control routine, and blame yourself for being so damn picky. Go play Baldur's Gate again if you like them that long. |

Lol, obviously, I havn't welcomed you! Welcome.
FF7 was the best RPG of all time in my view, I don't care what you say, that is the ultimate RPG. X just had incredible graphics, and KOTOR has made an interesting turn for Starwars though. I suppose all Lucas Arts needed was technolodgy to catch up with it before it started making real games. But Mysteries of the Sith ruled as well. The cheats were excellent for it. -----------------------

i realy realy realy hated FF7 i liked FF8 and i havnt played any after that cuz i my dad wont let me get a PS2 and basicaly i only use my consoles for SC2 and Rogue Squadron 2. i would deny any idiot who only uses a console the privilage of good games (other than figthting and racing games that i only like on consoles) in my opinion consoles are pick up and play for ten minutes between point A and B, PCs are for something you would actualy want to sit down and play for ten hours, dunno RPGs, FPS and RTS i cant say are worth playing on consoles.
i blame the console release because the idiots had to dumb everything down just to make it accesable to
consolers, and the guys who ported it only re-wrote the code to accomidate a diffrent opperating system, they dont normaly make much in the way of other changes (ther are exceptions, but sooooo few) just like "Thief three is going to suck because its goin onto consoles. and i also blame the console release for the crappy graphix, my 9200Pro bog down some places, my 9200 didnt bog down on FarCry with high settings for [Edit: Keepin my posts clean for the mods] sake. i also blame the console for the lack of editing tools release, wich would've made that game truly uber.
and BTW i hate Baldurs gate, something about it just grates on my nerves, heck i hated NWN for the same almost un detectable reason. and long? i have no complaints about length, it took me 50+ hours to get to where i did and as is im only at the last fight with malak before i reformatted.

Being around you must really suck sometimes. I'm surprised you like the FF games, because of the Japanese getting them first. Did that make you cry as well?
Yes, maybe KOTOR could have been better, but not much.
Yes, it could have had editing tools, but I can only think of two RPGs which have had those anyway (NWN - which were hard to use, and Vampire - which sucked).
I don't see how it has been dumbed down for the console audience, all the features that should be there are there.
No, KOTOR would not have benefitted from being a PC only, or a PC first release. Why? Because it would have, more likely than not, looked and played like every other Bioware RPG - the Baldur's Gate and the NWN you hate so much. Hell they already made amnesia so cliched it's painful. -----------------------

I'll have you know I would never spend 10 on hours on a computer for a game... No sir, internet is the only reason I'm on a computer, I'd suffocate from the pure thought of sitting infront of a computer all day trying to navigate with a keyboard and mouse.
Consoles are made for that reason... Video games. -----------------------
