Daishi and Kuroishi found themselves staring at each other outside the meeting hall.
The deep troubled look on each man's face told the other the same excat thoughts were going through thier heads.
By making this bold of a move the Vast Empire would be placing itself very highly on the list of priorities of the New Republic.
Despite the feeling that this mission was suicide Daishi and Kuroishi were both more then eger to have a chance to strike at the heart of something they both despised.
Boarding Operations meant Marine gear. Kuroishi had not worn the VMCA he had in a long time now, he envied Daishi's ability to use it as much as he did. This time it would serve it's function and bring the psychological factor along with it once more.
Daishi and Kuroishi more then any other piece of the puzzle this all came down to the navy's ability to hold the supply lines open in a three dimensional fight. The pilots were skilled and coming off some recent success but Daishi also knew they were few in number. It would be his new mission to make sire that what few expert pilots they had would be enough.
Kuroishi contemplated the army's missions. Unitialy as the target of thier invasion was unclear the going would be fairly easy and the counter attacks few. More then anything else the New Republic had a numerical advantage. Even if they managed to make it all the way to Coruscant and take it could they hold it? Kuroishi believed with a bit of luck they just might be able to.
Both men departed and headed for the landing pad where the Royal Barkalounger awaited them. If this plan was to succed the Vast Empire would need every advantage it could get and right now a lot of the information gathered by GUESSWORK on what New Republic units were where would come in handy along with some of the latest intel from the Deathwookie.
Before the day would be over both men would be out training with thier men under thier commands.
"We crave not victory. We crave only survival. There are no rules for survival but one: survive." Both men read the faded inscription on the boarding ramp of the Royal Barkalounger in unison.
The inscription was an old Varneck Planetary Defence Force creedo. When the two men had followed it both had met with great success. When they tried the conventional ways things got messy.
