That is a tough question. I'd have to say the Planet of Twilight is worse, though only by a hair. I have to agree with many of the books that have been listed, though I am kinda suprised that Traitor in the NJO series isn't meantioned. That book went far outside the typical flow of a SWs novel, and revealed an interesting aspect of the force that hadn't been touched upon.

I'm afraid i have to say although i liked I, Jedi I'm really not becoming much of a fan his Stackpole.
I'm not sure exactly what it is, but it's something about the way that he describes his characters and the conversations. I find myself groaning at the conversations more and more. A bit like when i read David Eddings.
I am a huge fan of Salvatore though. So of course i enjoyed Vector prime. Zahn books i also loved, i thought the film characters were portrayed perfectly and the plot was good too.
I'm really not much of a good critic lol ----------------------- + Advance Recon Commandos {ARC} +

I can only take so much of Zahn... Read four or more of his books in a row, and you will hate him. It's like you can hear this mono-tous voice in your head. That's why I'll switch it up between authors and time periods for that matter. It's been a pretty good system for me. ----------------------- *Flash Was Here...*

I don't know if its the hour and a half bus-rides to school, or something else thats causing my extreme boredom, but in the last week I've read the first 5 books of the NJO (I own all of them, but sort of bought them and never read them...go figure..)Once you read them all in order, they make more sense (gee that was brilliant.) i'm just about to start Conquest and Re-birth, and i just bought Final Prophecy, so I'm about 1/3 of the way done.... They are pretty good, although Balance Point was a little slow, and i counted almost 50 times where i wanted to kill Jacen... But yes darksaber and POT were the worst...I also didn't care very much for the black fleet crisis books and "the New rebellion." They just lacked...what makes a SW book a SW book ya know? ----------------------- Senior Sergeant Jikkyo "Fallen Angel" Nimiichi

I thought the 'New Rebellion' was kind of a Unique book and showed the fact that the Republic wasn't invinable nearly right away. And it was a cleverally conceived plan putting bombs in the droids. It all tied up nicelly I thought... But of course, since I had never heard of that Cueler guy, it made me a bit frustrated at first. Maybe a more familier character would have brought the book to 'great' value. But overall, I thought it was excellent, one of my first real intriguing StarWars books. Made me a fan I suppose. I read the other books to early, and now I have a groing contempt for reading them again... ----------------------- *Flash Was Here...*

that "New Rebelion" book, its the one, where they have these bombs in the droids and some pirates got them and it kiled alot of people in the astroid instead of to the planet it was supposed to go to, and it had that guy who wore some sort of mask who was supposed to be the bad uy or summat, my memorie is scetchy at best, but i either read that book or had it as a book on tape deal, that musta been three years ago, to long for my memorie. ----------------------- Formaly the Perpetual PFC

I haven't read many Star Wars books, but if I had to pick, it will be those by Timothy Zahn. I absolutely loved his portrayal of Grand Admiral Thrawn and in his last duology Admiral Palleon. It was great how he delved so much into the Imperial perspective of things.
Also, I thought the X-Wing series were pretty good, but I didn't manage to read the whole series... I have yet to read I, Jedi by Stackpole, mainly because I'm not a Corran Horn fan and not really interested about force crap.
By the way, I also think those short stories found in books like Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina, Tales from Jabba's Palace and Tales of the Bounty Hunters etc are excellent reading stuff. ----------------------- Sergeant Hashi Shiyun [IH] [SoA] [LoR]

just finished "traitor" in the NJO series. Wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. The way the twist the whole light vs dark Force thingy kinda made me mad, but it makes sense...in a wierd philosophical kind of way.

That was one of the best books. Really interesting too with the new force stuff. Personally i liked the twist on the Dark Side, Light Side stuff. Anyways, it gets MORE twisted as time goes on. Almost Confusing.
Oh, and poor poor Nom.
