Well, I told you guys it wouldn't take Raz and me long to come up with something to do, and I was right. As it stands now, we have a low number of members in the army; and with Chapter 8 on the way, this seemed like as good a time as any. Like many in the past, we decided to theme ours. This time we went with Spring seeing its upcoming. The competition will go From March 18, 2004 up until April 17, 2004. I hope by now, you all know the rules to this. If not, here we go again:
1. Recruits must put you down as their recruiter for them to count. It does not count, if the same person signs up twice.
2. Talk to your recruit and get to know them a bit. Get their AIM/AOL/ICQ/MSN/e-mail contact information in case something goes wrong with signups, or we don't see them for a while.
3. Once your recruit signs up, become like a mentor to them. Help them get through training, and progress through Drill Squad. Even once they get placed in a squad, help them out every now and then. It will help for better overall performance if you have to work together.
Now, I am sure you all want to hear about the rewards, because well: we all like rewards, and they make you guys feel rich, happy, joyous, etc. Anyways, we are giving out rewards in two forms: ICs and Medals. They will be as follows:
To the recruits:
A sum of 2000 ICs will be added to each new recruit's starting balance. This will give them a whopping 3000 ICs to start with. (Heck they should profit too. Why should only you profit from bringing them in.) This will be added in at the end of the competition.
To the recruiters:
You will recieve your awards at the end of the competition. However, there is a small catch: In the event that the trooper goes AWOL, never shows up, or does not make it to Drill by the end of the competiton (unless they join like the day before or something) then that trooper does not count as a potential recruit for you. Therefore, lowering your prize money/medals. However, we feel that this will encourage you to keep better track of your recruits

Anyways, your rewards go as follows:
For the first five recruits you bring in
You will recieve 5K a recruit. This will again be given out at the end of the competition. Also, on achieving the 5 recruits, you will recieve the [SM-B] (See description below for details)
For the second five recruits you bring in (6-10):
You will recieve 10K a recruit. This will again be given out at the end of the competition. Also, on achieving the 10 recruits, you will recieve the [SM-S] (See description below for details)
For anything above 10 recruits you bring in:
You will recieve 15K a recruit. This will again be given out at the end of the competition. Also on achieving 15 recruits, you will recieve the [SM-G] (See description below for details)
Okay, that's the geist of the competition. Most of you by now are probably wondering what those abbreviations mean by now. In case you haven't guessed: they are
Medals to add to your ID Line. We will let you know when they are awarded, so don't worry. Anyways, here's what they are:
Spring Medallion-Bronze [SM-B] - awarded to every member that brings in
5 recruits during the one month time of this competition.
Spring Medallion-Silver [SM-S] - Awarded to every member that brings in
10 recruits during the one month time of this competition.
Spring Medallion-Gold [SM-G] - Awarded to every member that brings in
15 recruits during the one month time of this competition.
Spring Medalltion-Platinum [SM-P] - This is a one-of-a-kind award. It is awarded to the one and only recruiter to bring in the most recruits. Good Luck!
So that is the competition. If you have any questions please feel free to contact
Raziel or
myself. We will be happy to tell you how many recruits you have brought in so far and stuff like that.
