Well Wildcards, you've all been waiting a while for something to do besides post. Even if you haven't Jap and I are sure you'll like this anyways. We've worked on this for about a month and a half, so you should be very pleased with it. This competition will involve MP Games, Storyline posting, and Recruiting. We have a few rules to be followed, so pay attention.
MultiPlayer Games
Multiplayer games will be allowed starting today. You may challenge others to either ffa or team matches. Any format may be played in Galactic Battlegrounds (expansion too), Jedi Knight, and JediKnightII: Jedi Outcast. However, you must comply with the following:
1. All games must be registered with the battleboard. This way Japer and I can get the scores. Failure to do so, or failure to have all players registered will result in the match not counting or only counting for those registered.
2. There will be no force-using characters in these games. Unless you have a DJO member in the game, then you may set the game to sabers with force. Otherwise set the game to guns no force.
3. An e-mail must be sent to Japer and myself. In your e-mail please tell us the results of the game, and include a screenshot. This is to ensure no-cheating. Cheaters will be punished, I assure you.
Storyline Writing
1. The story writing will be starting in one week from Today. The story may be posted ahead of time, but it starts Friday.
2. No squad member may post until their SL has posted about briefing the squad. After all, it's only right that you know about the mission before you get into it.
3. Stay in character! Do not go pulling something totally un-called for. EX: Taking out a gungan suit or acting like one. We will be monitoring the posts, if something is there we don't like, we will asked for it to be removed. Keep the OOC: remarks to a bare minimum. If there is a problem with someone's post, talk to them privately about it or simply try to either fix it or cover it up in the next post in that storyline. Also, I am sure you all have specialties, so try and stick to that. Ex: scout, sharpshooter, medic, etc.
4. We are having one story for all squads. So keep your own storyline straight. Even further: your SL may have you break into groups. While this may get confusing, as long as you know what YOU are doing, you should be all set.
Recruiting
Recruiting is needed still. While we do have a recruiting staff, that does not stop the average member from recruiting. This will help your squad in the long run. It boosts your activity, so we'll factor it in with the other results. It is subject to these rules though:
1. Recruits that do not get through basic training do not count. Too many go bad due to bad recruiting. (See my post from a while back on new recruiting methods for more information.)
2. Report the recruits you get to your SL, who will report all recruits from the squad into Japer and me at the end of the week. In this letter should include: 1. recruiter's callsign 2. list of recruit's callsign by that person.
Deciding who wins
When the competition is finally over, we will decide a winner by squad. While rewards are not yet talked about this is how they will be graded:
MP Games-40%
Storyline Writing-40%
Recruiting-10%
Squad Activity(as a whole)-10%
So, make sure your squad is well-rounded. If you play only games and come out on top, and you recruit. We'll prolly give you a 60 at most. Where as the squad that does everything, but doesn't come out on top may win in the end, because they did a lot of work in everything. E-mail addys for Japer and me are
[email protected] and
[email protected] Good Luck and we'll let you know on rewards when we decide on them.
