Hey, welcome to VE. Yes, mIRC IS heavily recommended. jIRC is convenient, but not nearly as "good." -----------------------

Tried Bersirc and couldn't get the windows bigger or the font turn to bold.

Click the tab button and it auto-resizes. As for bold, i've never needed to use it in the three years I've been a member of the VE.
If you are gonna not like a piece of software, make sure it is for the right reasons. Besides, I thought you hated shareware. -----------------------

I hardly use bold in mIRC, Fury, but that's not the bold I'm talking about. The text in the channel (names, etc.) are more bold than in Beserk. I was trying to fix that, but it wasn't cooperating with me. -----------------------
