It was early the day he woke up from the dream that would guide him to the truth, the beginning of his true exsistance.
Lea looked around the room as if he's just seen a horrific crash directly in front of his eyes.  Eyes...  Lea's eyes were indeed the first thing you would notice about him.  They were completely abstract to his body.  They were hazel but always seemed to have a light blue, icy, tint.  They peirced any person they recognized.  They were always the weapon he could depend on most.
Otherwise, he was quite regular.  Always wearing a bright white long coat that would blind you on a bright day, and loose black pants.  He was always sharp, but never had to try.
He walked from his bed to look into the mirror.  His normal light blue eyes had turned a deeper darker shade since he'd had the dream.
His dream had been short, but explicent....  The only problem was, he couldn't remember it.  The dream had been so vivid and sharp, yet he could only remember the feeling of the dream.  The weight of the dream had started to fall upon him when he heard a knock on the door.
He opened the door to find his land lady Gina.
"Rent...  I need it now Lea.  You've avoided it for 3 weeks.  No more.  One-hundred and fifty ic's." she said.
Lea's eyes became darker then said," Alright, just a sec."  He shut the rusty metal door and turned to his ceiling vent.  He removed the vent, the cold air acrost his face, he reached his hand in and felt around the cool surface.  He felt a hard rectangular box then pulled it out.  He dusted it off and opened it.  A box full of ic's lay before him.  He pulled out one hundred ic's, then replaced the box in it's hiding place.
He returned to the door and said," I've got a hundred for ya, I'll give ya the fifty tonight."
Gina gave him a cold stare, then took the money and withdrew a small sack.  She slipped the money in and then replaced it into her cloak.  Then she walked away.
Lea shut the door and sighed.  He'd been in the dumps ever since he'd lost his job as a banker on Coruscant.  Now he lived in an apartment deep in the slums.  He lived a life of hustling.  Junkyard racing.  He had once been very wealthy, and on his way to upper management, he made the mistake of meeting the boss's daughter.  It was a typical mess up.  The one you here about everyday.
Without warning, a massive explosion erupted in Lea's mind.  Another part of his dream had just came back to him.  The picture was horrific.  It was almost as if someone had ripped open the planet with an un-godly screach that would send chills down anyone's spine.  Blue Flames erupted from the ground and cracks split the cement under the support of a 2 story building, which soon after collapsed under the pressure of it's own weight.  Tears sprang from his eyes.  He'd never felt anything so intense in such a small window of time.  It was too much for him, he knelt down on one of his knee's and took all of what he'd just seen at once.
It was all over within an instant.  Lea sat down and closed his eyes trying to understand.  It looked like there was no reasoning for his sudden image.  He thought hard and remembered the area of the catastrophic explosion.  Then he saw it.  The grass.  As it burned, a dark curtling smoke rose from it.  The smell filled his senses.
The park.  The park on Corillia had been his home for 13 years.  He remembered the tall grass.
An odd sensatoin came over him.  He was going to Corillia.

Not sure if I spelled Corillia right.  Oh well.  Looks like this should be kinda interesting.  I dunno.  I don't know where I'm going with this.  I suppose it'll be a story of mixed emotions for a while...

Corillia, a world of beauty and lethal danger...
Lea hadn't been to his own home in nearly ten years due to the fact he didn't want his family to see how he ended up.
The transport was bright white and hovered slowly above the landing pad.  He took his hand off the cool armrest and took a breif look around.  To the right of him he had a man wearing a dark cloak covering his head, but Lea took no notice of this.  To his left some type of female humanoid was cleaning somethin that she'd just pulled out of her case.  It was a long silver cylinder.  It looked odd because it almost appeared to be hollow like a batton...  These images still had no immediate pressence to him compared to the horrific image he'd seen erlier on Coruscant.  Everyone else seemed to be sleeping or in a dazed mood; probably do to the beautiful Corillian image before them.
Lea stepped out into the warm breeze, feeling it pass over him was almost a key to another door, because at that instant another image flashed into his head.
A cool sensation filled his body, he felt his hand jerking to his belt but there was nothing there.  "Why, would I be looking for his blaster?" he thought to himself.  Then, he saw the walls around him begin to turn all sorts of different colors.  One wall however did not change, but instead, took the shape of a man.  But Lea could not see his face.  Anly notice a white glowing ball in his hand.  It looked like he was holding heat or somethin.  It was like a fuzzy image of a light blue sun or something.  Lea didn't know.  But then the ball disapeared as quickly as it appeared.  What replaced it was much worse than the explosioin.  He looked at it.  But what was it!
A feeling of deep agitation and pain was crossing his mind, yet he didn't know what it was.  He tryed to see the man's face, but it was still shrouded in the darkness.  But he noticed he had put away the opject he had been holding.  Instead he pulled out a smooth silver cylinder...
Lea again became aware of the present and pulled himself out of the trance of the unmistakebly horrible image.  How would such a small object effect him so much...
He took his bags, and left the image at that, he just decided to ponder on it later.  He set forth Towards the park.

The park was filled with tall grass.  Everywhere he looked was green except to his far right where one of the oceans lay.  The rocks on the beach of the ocean were mossy and cool.  He knew from the past.  They never changed.
To his far left nearly turned him mad.  The image before him was a long two story building.

Again, mixed emotions, and an odd story.  It'll be fun though.  Give me suggestions i suppose....

Lea walked into the building and almost fell over at the absolutelly beautiful women standing before him.  She smiled brightly and said" Can I help you, sir?"
Lea smiled at the site of no rings on her fingers than said.." Um ya, where am I?"
She smiled and pointed at the sign right above her.  It said:  Center for Corelian Research and developement.
    "Thankyou,"he said.
"Is that all, sir?" she said in a polite voice.
"Actually, my names Lei whats yours?"  he asked.
    "Trixy.  Is that all?"
"I'd like to take you out for a drink Trixy.  I'm ganna be down at the cafe' about 3 blocks south of here if you'd like to join me..."  He smiled and walked out.

Just as Lei was sitting down Trixy arrived through the front entrance of the Systil's Cafe'.  She smiled considerably and sat down just from acrost Lei.
"So, what's up...?" she asked expectantly.
"Oh, it's nothin.  I was just hopin you could tell me a little about you..." he guestured.
She smiled and said," Oh, well, um...  I've workin' at Corellia for 13 months and I worked in coruscant as senior undersecratary for 3 years..." She talked about life in Coruscant and asked how he had come to be there.
    "Business." he lied.
"Oh, what do you do exacly..."  she said just as something went off.
    "What's that?" he asked?
"Oh, that's alarm.  I gotta go..." she said as she got up from her seat and ran out the door.
    "Ok,"said Lei.
Lei paid for his drink and left to find somewhere to stay.  He walked down the streets to a small building to which in releif he found it was a motel, and for cheap.
He paid for a room and bought something to drink at the counter of a small cantina to the side of the motel entrance.  He continued to a small hallway with numerous doors with numbers barely intact.
Lei finally found his room and opened it.
"Please sit down!" ordered a man with a black cloak holding a blaster level with Lei's head.

I'm startin to get a bit of a story I suppose.. Have fun... AH HA.

It was dark, but Lei could still make out a chair next to the east wall and to the west wall sat the man with the blaster.
Lei made his way to the chair, looking for a way out or some weapon he could pull out at the last second.
As Lei sat down the man said,"Why are you here Lei?"
Lei looked up at him and said," How do you know my n..."
But the man cut him off,"Answer the question or I'm going to shoot you Lei.  Stop playing innocent and tell me where you're hiding it."
Lei looked at him in wonder than said,"What are you t..."
"Give me an answer!"he said as he stoop up in a thunderous manner.
    "I don't know what you're talking about!"
"You think you can get away with killing so many of my comrades and get away with it.  You think you can outsmart the Warl Clan?  Whatever it is you stole, you better tell me where it is right now or you're not going to walk from this room." he said with enthusiasm but with a rage glinting in his eyes.
"You don't even know what you're looking for and you come in here to threaten me?" he said with barely any enthusiasm compared to the other man.  "Who are you!" he shouted.
The man ran up to him grabbed him by the shirt and hoisted him up into the air with obviouse ease.
He wispered into Lea's ear,"Tell me who I am or I'll kill you..."
"I-I-I don't know..." he said, barely able to keep himself together.
Lea saw that the man had dark blue eyes that peirced through him.  For a moment the two of them staired at eachother then the man said almost as if to himself,"You really don't know do you..."  His eyes turned a little lighter and then he slowly lowered Lei back down to his chair.  "Sit down." he said firmly as he turned away to go back to his own chair.
"Why are you here?" the man said with calm interest.
"I'm not sure.  I-I suppose because of a dream.  I-I mean I know that sounds insane.  I was on Coruscant, and I had a dream.  I woke up, but I couldn't..." he stopped as if he couldn't go on.
    "Continue," the man said firmly.
"I-I, couldn't remember.  But I remember the feeling.  I remember a very strong feeling of...  Pain.  And, a very sad feeling of betrayl." he said but the looked up at him with a noticable change in his eyes.
"What do you know about yourself?"
    "What do you mean?"
"What do you know about yourself.  Where you were born, you know..." he guestured.
Lei told him about his childhood then his job problems and about the dream and his time on Corellia.
"How old are you?" said the man with ernest curiosty.
"Thirty, no thirty-three, no..." said Lei as he screwed up his face in consentration.  "I-I don't know..."
The man slouched down in his chair and said," I didn't think so..."

Meanwhile, somewhere off in distant space, there was a man with an answer.  He sat in his chair and held a silver cylinder in his hand.  He looked down at the object for a moment, then stood up from his seat and walked to the left side of his home.  His house was made entirely of reflective glass.  Invisable if you didn't know where it was.  And laser proof.  He looked outside the window for a few moments then looked towards the houses most interesting feature.
In the center of his home was a large circular stage of pure copper.  The surface glistened in the crystal light as the man walked towards it.  He stood upon the smooth surface and looked at the cylinder again.  It too glistened in the crystal light.
The man then closed his eyes...  The floresant crystal look of the house dimmed, and took a blue tint.  The copper surface turned electric blue and ice cold.  Suddenly the cylinder's open end, etruded a long blue blade of pure energy.  It scaled a little longer than most of it's kind, but much more efficiant as well.  The man opened his eyes and unleashed them unto the area infront of him.  His eyes also took an electric blue tint that were both intimadatingly cold, but also seemed to have confidence and comfort.
He held the saber infront him for a few moments, as if challenging thin air.  Suddenly, he burst into a series of quick and precise movements.  The kata seemed to have ended as suddenly as it had started.  Again, he furried into a series of movements, each seeming as if they had a mood or emotion of their own.
The man's saber style was acrobatic and powerful.  Someone might suggest that his surprising power would only be a mere fortune.  But this was not true in the man's case.  For the cylinder had secrets of it's own.
His saber seemed as plain, not common, but plain as any ever seen.  It's not what you see, but what you feel from this saber that would save you.  The features were endless with it.  Not to mention the designing.  The years of preperation it took to build it, then train it.
Yes, train it.  This, above all features was the most interesting detail about the saber, and was by far the most important if it was needed to be used correctly.
Force user's often say that they're sabers seem to have a mind of their own.  This saber, however, did.
The cylinders smoot metals were actually a form of force enhancement.  So much infact, that it could give the saber reflexes.  This gave anyone the upperhand.  This weapon, also had one more major detail.  This is the most important one.  Even with the special metals and what not, it still would be no match against a great jedi without this...  The Kyber Crystal.

*Note:  I've got somethin now.  And I have a conflict, which will be revealed later...  Plus a super cool bad guy!

Something was different, Lei was different, no...  The man who announced himself to be 'Icos' was apparently very angry about something, but at the same time astounded by the fact that Lei had no idea what he was talking about.  After a long pause, Icos took him to a dark room and told him to sleep.  Lei could not sleep.

He sat there, continuelly thinking, 'What's going to happen','can I escape, should I escape?'  He feared death, he was too young to die, and he'd led a good life besides all the bad stuff he'd done, but that's just how things were...  Fear filled his body to the point where he almost felt tears spring out, but he was exhausted from the terror that ran through him, his mind was numb from exhausted idea's that had been rampaging through his head, and he could only think of the end and that he would not be remembered.  Slowly, but surely, his eyes drooped and he was silent, a buzz filled his mind and he was asleep, uncontious but contious.

The haze was thick but he could see right through it, and it was pleasent.  Before him was a dark bar, people packed in every corner and just as many beverages lined the bar, dripping with whatever special drink some one had favored.  He was looking around, but he was in a dark corner, and he was with someone, a woman on his right, and a man on his left.  In a bit of shock, Lei noticed that the man was none other than Icos, the man who had improsened him inside a dark room from which he wasn't sure he would ever come out.  The woman on his right was very pretty, and was older than him, but she seemed to have a gentleness that made her seem younger.

The dream was very vivid and clear, but it seemed to have been beyond him, something very different.  He sat there in his uncountious contiousness and held the feeling, it grew stronger and he assessed it.  It felt like it hadn't happened yet...  It hadn't happened; it was in the future!  A small firework went off in his head, he had properlly come up with something, but he was cut off by something very sinister appearing out of the ashes of his last dream.

He was now very cold, it was night and a single moon was shining through the thin clouds, barren treeland surrounded him, decidious tree's without there leaves were just creepy...  A small pond was sitting in the middle of a clearing and he couldn't help but feel a chill run down his back; where was he?

After observing the area for a few moments, a shrill and terrifying cry erupted from the dark forest, but he couldn't go anywhere.  Again, the feeling of 'nothing has happened yet' really grabbed a hold.  The scream scratched the night air again, this time slashed by mingled agitations of the voice, probably caused from some kind of pain...

Lei awoke in the room, covered in sweat, and extremely scared.  What was this?  It was like the dream he had when he came to Corillia.  It disgusted him...  However, he felt it's presence growing closer all the time, he had surprisingly not had the dream about his home planet like he had expected...  Something was most certainly going on...

(Well, those really arn't that long... They're pretty short really, but none the less, I will write until I think I've said what needed to be said...)

Get up...  Get up...  If you don't get up there will be no where to go when the time comes...

Lei was on the ground, his mind tearing with questions, and a buzz seemed to have a hold on him.  He was looking into the eyes of his oppresser now, he was standing at the door and seemed to have an extremely dark look on his face, something was bothering him.  He didn't say anything, but just stared, as if trying to confirm, trying to understand.  But there was nothing, then his glowing eyes darkened and he blinked, he now seemed to admit Lei's awareness.

"You are hereby my prisoner.  You have no rights.  You have no privaliges.  If you do anything to upset me, to test me, or to make a normal man even blink...  I will kill you faster than your heart can pump blood your body."  He turned and began walking down the hall.  Lei, in a complete and utter stupor, suddenly realized he wanted him to follow him and sauntered up from his idle position on the cold hard ground.  As he stood up though, he suddenly felt a funny burning in his right leg, and it made him incredibly uncomfortable, and his other leg was extremely sensitive to the sense of touch.  He began to walk after him but stopped when his first step on his right foot stung him with a seering pain that made him gasp.  He stepped with his other foot and gasped once again, but this one from an immense tickling sensation that ran up through his leg into his chest.  His legs were asleep.  How he had gotten up in the first place was amusing to him.

The buzzing and exuberant feeling in his legs came a sudden halt though when he told his mind to stop it.  He commanded it.  How did he do that...  Lei did not think on it though, and instead resumed his thoughts of fear that surrounded the man who would kill him if he breathed wrong.

The pain gone in his legs, he stepped out into the hall, this was a must brown corridor with a warm damness that could only be felt in one's basement during winter.  Lei glanced to the right to see the man walking down and away from him.

Instead of keeping quiet, he decided not to fool around, seeing as how there was no exit to his other side, only a steel and corroded door that could not possibly be opened.

"What do you want...?"  He whispered it at first...  Terror streaking through his veins, he then shreiked,"What the hell do you want?"  He collapsed back down to the floor.  The man in the clock stopped and turned, his eyes now somber with a deep sea look.

Barelly above his normal volume, his voice was harsh but contained.  "To help you realize who you are...  Because it is important to others who are important to me..."  He then turned his head back to where he was heading and walked on...

(Getting kicked off, or I would write alot more...)

Icos, as he called himself, was a man of great knoledge, wisdom and extreme patience.  His dark cloak only reflected his current attitude, and had nothing to do with his impertinent walk which he used to strow down the corridor of the shabby walkways.

The hallways weren't necessarilly long, but just open with the stone walls with large opening in them to allow sight for miles of hilly plains covered in tall grasses.  Other plants crept up the outsides of the walls, never daring to enter the actual structure though, and instead, created long beautiful rows of lanscape surrounding the building.

Lei now realized that this place was not originally a home like he was beginning to think, Icos had brought him into a room with lavish furniture and domed walls with an opening in the top to allow for smoke ventilation.  The fire was currently out, but Lei could see well around the room from the light pouring in from the almost overhead sun that was currently being clouded by some slight overcast.  The rays beamed through the dreary sky though, and revealed paintings about four and a half feet from each other, spaced all around the entire room.  Icos had re-lit the fire, apparently in no fear of what Lei would do while his back was turned.  And the prisoner did nothing...

He had followed him down the rocky, open country corridor into this dark, but seemingly glorious now that the fire was beginning to build.  Lei hadn't seen what even lit the fire, but it flickered with the slightest agitation and seemed to roar after only a minute.

Icos had crossed his arms, standing in front of the fire with an air of respect for something or someone.  After a moment of gazing into the flames of which seemed to radiate something other than heat, he turned to channel himself into Lei's eyes.  He had his attention.

"This room, is the home of the Warl Clan.  I will not reveal where you are, but I will inform you..."  With this, he moved to the nearest picture frame," Fves Warl, one of the greatest warrier this universe has ever seen.  Fought many wars, one or two against the Mandelorians when they were at thier height.  He won those battles..."  He lowered his head for yet another moment, pondering on some kind of decision.  Deciding to go on, he moved to the studious looking man in the next picture who, unlike the gruff greying grampa in the last picture, seemed young and full of compassion for all things.

"Svett Warl...  Died very young when he refused to help the rulers of his world destroy the prejudiced race on thier planet.  He was a skilled hunter and had only one child before he was executed.  That was," now with a little more enthusiasm..."Curtis, his one and only child.  This man alone, was dangerous enough, that an entire legion of pirateers avoided him for fear of how he might look at them.  Did he ever really fight?  He was extremely skilled, but no, he commanded an expert fighting group known as the Severpt.  He too had a son, a couple of daughters as well, but he was killed by one of his own men...  Because of greed over something..."

Lei had been paying close attention although he was being held captive on a planet which would not be 'revealed' to him, and he did not answer the retoricle question.  "Each and every one of them has died protecting one thing, which, to a force user, is one of the most awe-inspiring objects in the universe." He was now looking back at him after walking and guesturing to the many pictures in talking.  "Have you ever heard of a Kyber Crystal?"

Lei was quiet for a moment, some kind of mind warp had just occured at the mention of the name, but he did not know what it was, no reasonable memory supporting what the crystal could possibly be.  He shook his head, no.

"For years, our family has passed down this object, in the hopes, that one day, a jedi would be born within the family.  This Jedi would bring the family to a new glory and use the crystal for good, to clean up the area in which our family tangled so often..."  He was about to say something when Lei, out of pure curiosity, said-

"But what is it?"  Icos did not glare as he would of expected, instead, with a slightly kinder impression now, grinned sheepishly.

"Ah yes, of course.  What is it.  This crystal I speak of is capable of enhancing what you probably know as 'the force'.  It alone can make one of the worst Jedi's, the best.  While worn, it can manipulate, enhance, or destroy those around it.  It has no emotion, or mind necessarilly, but it has a thought or two which drive people to insanity when they don't have it."  He guestured as if to say, understand?  Lei nodded now and returned the guesture, urging him to speak on.

"Right, well, this isn't our only family though, these are just the men who protected through thier generation.  Fves Warl, had found the crystaline structure in the center of some building while fighting against the mandelorians.  Realizing what it was, what it held, the type of potential it would have to someone, he kept it.  He wanted someone in his family, to be better than himself, a greator fighter, but you could really only use it if you were a jedi.  So, instead it would be held as a keepsake until then, he figured..."  Icos paused again, but continued fertivelly.  "That worked out through the generations just find, until it was taken...  I knew what I was looking for, but I was wondering if you did...  You are one of the many enemies of this family."

His eyes had stayed away from their icy ways, thank goodness, thought Lei.  "But you will work for me now.  I will reteach you your ways, and from that, you will retrieve the kyber crystal for me.  I will breif you on the enemy later, but first, you must relearn everything you have apparently lost..."

Very strangly, Lei did not fight Icos apparent 'knowledge'.  In fact, he started to absorb everything he said, and dreamed of what he was talking about with little worry as to what was supposed to be going on in his life.  The more Icos told him about the old Jedi order and all the things that he'd been taught before hand, the more he felt he knew what he had actually been speaking about the entire time.

That wasn't all though, because, since he had in fact come to accept he was something other than what he thought, and he was doing this reletivelly easilly, he was quickly becoming good freinds with Icos.  Of course, and Icos did not fight this either, indulging it at best.

Every morning, just before sun-up, Lei would awake, completly upright and trying to recall what he'd dreamed before hand after being told to by his kid napper, but there was nothing to remember...  His mind was blank, clutching for something to grab a hold of and observe, but he couldn't...  Just couldn't.  But he could feel it becoming closer every day he tried, his mind becoming more and more focused, everyday things observed with greater attention to detail and more precise short term memory.

After his quick meditation over supposebly non-existant dreams, he would make his way down the concrete corridor into the great room with the pictures along the walls, and the fire burning in the center.  And after a short meal, the teaching would begin, or remembering really.

One by one, Icos would introduce him to different things that would help him remember, and he did, because it wasn't like amnesia.  No...  This was a simple 'forget'...  And since those things that he 'forgot' were so well known before hand, a little reminder is all it took.

This process of waking up and remembering went on for about three and a half months, every day filled with several hours of introduction, body, and conclusion to an idea.

What else was there to learn besides Jedi technique that he already knew, wondered Lei after his last day of re-training, completely oblivious to the fact he was being sent out to do something after all this was complete.  It was like he'd been running an entirlly different life lately, he simply ignored everything outside of the little world he'd managed to find himself in.

He walked into the firelit room and stood in front of the fire, just finishing up the meal he'd found lying on a table in the corner, left by Icos only moments before hand probably.

It only took about three minutes for him to arrive, completely covered by a heavy black cloak, but there was something in his hand.

"Today...  We start combat training."  Suddenly, he tossed the single cylinder high in the air, over the open fire and into the outstretched hand of Lei.

"Turn it on..." Icos was walking around the fire now, not even looking over at Lei, knowing he would be able to turn on the device reguardless of memory loss.  "That is yours...  And this..." pulling out another similar metal object," is mine..."  He made no facial expression, but instead, ignited the jedi weapon at the push of a button.

A long glowing blade of blue extended into the open space at his front side, a quiet hum becoming constant.  To Icos's left came a second hum and a streak of red.  The sudden blood red staining on the walls made Icos shudder, a few memories becoming very apparent all at once.

"Hold it in front of your, your legs in an L shape, that is your right one should be pointing away be behind your left."  He was now looking over at Lei who followed his directions to the best of his ability.  Without even thinking though, he let his left knee bend a little and put some pressure on his back heel.

Without any forewarning, Icos spun with the sabre held straight out, a whilring circle of pure energy coming towards Lei.  Relfex took over though, and within a micro-second, his red sword of light smashed into the opposing color of blue.

"Very good, this won't take long..."

So Icos began to introduce him...  To everything.  The training periods lasted almost no time at all, because it seemed only a few examples were able to jog his memory.  'Some mind wipe, thought the teacher.

Icos appeared to have inticipated all of this though, saying only," Good...  Well done," after every sucessful first attempt.  It wasn't necessarilly disheartening, but it made Lei curious.  How did he know so much about him?  When and where had they been enemies?

Icos had grown out a bit of a shadow across his chin as well as some handle bars to his now well developed mustache.  He was still the teacher, but Lei had in fact begun to trust him a little, ease came more frequently to thier conversations and there were never any harsh words about thier previous engagement.

For the most part, the student spent his time rechanneling himself into the force, making himself an avenue to its awesome power.  He truly wanted to get it all back.  Whatever that was...

The was another thing that stuck in his mind though...  How good was I?  Or wasn't I good at all?  What if I'm just getting my hopes up...?  Truly, none of these questions could be confirmed, even from Icos.

Yes, they were developing a friendly bond, almost like the training was becoming mutual and good to both of them...  However, Lei sometimes got the sick feeling in the pit of his stomache that there was more going on.  Something was being kept from him, probably because it would send him right out the door.

This, 'feeling,' was becoming stronger and occuring more often though, bringing him an even more ardent questioning mind.  About everything, that is.

Since the beginning of this little field trip, Lei had been allowed everywhere.  No longer where the grounds, hallways, extra rooms, and main rooms to the castle-like structure off limits.  Excluding one place of course...

This was the study of Icos.  Never, under any condition would he be allowed in there, he remembered.  He could hear the incesent rambling of threats go on in his mind whenever he glanced towards it from the main hallway from his room to the big open area fire room.  Meeting room actually...

Lei had followed this rule of course, not wanting to get chopped in half or something...  But the 'feeling' he was getting around Icos seemed to be pushing him in the direction of the study every single time he would make a pass at it.  Truly, this was a test of his ability to control his needs within the force.  Every day, new knowledge suddenly came back to him, old teachings from somewhere.  And he applied them without a seconds thought.

So another question sprung up...

"You say that I used to be a jedi...  And that I already know everything your teaching me now..."  Lei played with  the grass between his hands as he lay on the ground outside of the castle.

Icos nodded as he continued to set up a small obstical course, he did not make eye contact with his new student, not aware of what he would be getting to just yet.

"And someone would have had to teach me all of that...  Correct?"  Lei gave him the final nudge.  Icos stopped next to a tree, turned slowly on one heal and nodded again.  They both stared for a moment, then Icos turned on the same heel, making a complete circle, and facing back towards the tree.

"Seriously man, enough of this secret bullshit.    If you want me to work for you, I'm ganna need a little more information for myself..."  Lei had stood up quite suddenly and made his way to a point seven feet from Icos.

He heard a sigh and the teacher let his head fall to the side before turning back around to face him.

"I told you I'd let you know about the target later..."

(There we go, a nice little update for the story...)

Lei wasn't sure how to react.  His old teacher, who he did not remember or really have any feelings for, was in fact, his target.  By no means was he a killing machine.  No sir.  He did not even exact revenge let alone take a life.  All the time he'd been learning things he hadn't actually thought about what had occured in the past.  Now he seemed to be in for a rude awakening.

Icos was completely serious the way he identified the target.  But he said nothing else, and neither did Lei.  Instead, he decided to sit down and clear his head of thoughts while the teacher set up the course.  He wasn't exactly sure where he was getting his habits from, because Icos seemed to have no habits at all.  Clearing his head was the automatic one, and seemed to releive him greatly.  Any stress or problem that could arrise could also be solved just as easilly with a quick 'meditation.'

Months had gone by, and Lei wondered if people wondered about him.  Thoughts like these were not unliked though, so he liked to instead ponder them while sitting in the sea of his thoughts.  The idea someone else worried about him, somewhere, at some time, comforted him significantly.  The girl he'd tried to take out must be feeling some kind of remourse for his disappearence.

These were nice, but most of them fell upon what he was going to be doing.  Icos' intentions were not at all clear, and when he said something, it often meant another idea entirelly.  His blue eyes seemed so easy to trust, but he was extremely misleading with body language, speech, and especially those icy tools looking right back at the intended target...

Also, he felt that his teachings were leaving something extremely important out of them.  What it was, Lei truly could not put his finger on.  It was right there every time, but he couldn't get a hold of the idea.  It was something huge though.

The 'feeling' he got around Icos was one of deep mystery, but he felt it was connected to many things he was often questioning.  He was holding back, and eventually, it would all be revealed.  Man it made him angry, but instead of renouncing the emotion, he was engaging its power, allowing it to influence him more and more.  Simple things were no longer simple, but complicated and in need of passion.  He did not get into heated arguments though.  There was a sardonic attitude as of late though.

Through this molded form he was becoming, Lei was becoming more unpredictable.  Icos seemed to pay it no mind though, almost embracing the attitude by offering no scolding tone or even a rebuking word.  The student did not think on it though and let his confidence build.  Every day he would meditate, to clear his head of what he beleived to matter to everyone but himself.  He would be concerned with himself alone.  Even these thoughts were becoming friendly to him.

One cool evening, Icos had gone to a far meadow to fetch 'a surprise' and Lei was all by his lonesome.  The walk between hallways was a masterful way to tempt him into investigating his masters study.  Something urged him to enter.  And finally, he did.

The sun was falling behind the hills and shadows were cast sideways against the grey rock walls.  The air was a bit musty as the fire roared higher and higher with every moment the student waited.  He had been sat directly in front of the office, next to the fire to keep warm though, or so said Icos.

He would have been able to hold himself back better, but he could find absolutely no just cause to himself from it.  Why could he not go in there?  What remarkable reason was there for someone elses immediate privacy?  So the room had no defense.

And time was going by...  Very slowly.  The student waited next to the fire for five full hours, resisting the urge to enter the room.  Finally, he said to himself...  "Screw it'.  There would be no more wonder or contimplating.  As he stood up though, the sound of Icos entering through the brush was heard.  Lei turned his head to see the cold shining eyes of his teacher.

"You may sit...  I have brought you your gift..." he said with a smile.  He must have thought I was getting up to greet him, thought Lei with an air of certain luck.

"What have you?" the student said, supressing a resounding sigh.

"My trust." The teacher kept eye contact with a smug grin on his face and a strong hand coming to greet his own.

"What?"

"This was a test my friend.  I know you've been feeling some serious yerning to get into my study.  Don't worry...  I was sending those vibes to you.  I've been just beyond the hedges to the east, watching you.  You did not move once to that door.  Whatever questions you thought could be answered in there would not have been.  There was nothing you could find in there.  Trust me, because I now trust you." Icos let go of his students hand and sat him down a log and went to the little build in cantina area.  They would drink to this celebration.

"Ah crap...  I'll be right back, I have some excellent drink for the occasion..." And Icos was off to the cellar.

Lei had an unbelievable confidence about him suddenly, and without even thinking strode into the study of his teacher.  The room was a dirty yellowish color with two dim lamps hanging in the corners of a half octogan room.  On the desk ahead was another light that was of some strange origin with absolutely no scattered papers as the student had assumed there should be.  Instead, it was very clean, and the room altogether seemed well kept and overly organized.  The man was curious still, a clean look wasn't enough to throw him off.  Neither was his teacher's trust.  Lei did not trust his teacher at all.

He would have to move quickly he though as he silently stepped to the side of the desk.  The drawers were all locked by again, the student was confident and simply held his hand to the locks, feeling the gears within.  In his mind, the mechanisms within were being constrained, held to a position.  They simply needed to be freed.

There was a click and the door slid outwords.  The man held his hand over the open drawer of papers and maps, feeling for something...  Anything.  But there was nothing and he was now becoming very impatient.  Icos would return very shortly.  He closed the drawer quietly and relocked it, undoing the next one down with the same ability he had just exhibited.  Again, he held his hand over ther drawer, this one was filled with parts from some kind of model or scale diagram.  The impulses from before had somehow returned.  This was the hot spot.  He rumaged through the fragile parts and let his hand be led to the position he was being sent coords to.  His hand fell upon a lump in the underlay of the drawer.  Quickly, he pulled it up.

A datapad.  He smiled but was soon frowning as he heard the steps of a stone staircase a moment later.

Icos appeared at the entry way to the staircase and glanced to his study.  The door was shut and Lei was back in his seat.

He smiled again and said," Alright...  Les drink up..."

(Excuse me if that one was a bit dry...  I had to show you something.)

"Your training is complete...  Its time for a final test."  Icos was walking along side of Lei as they made thier way down one of the open hallways of the little castle.

There was no longer a measure of time that could explain the length for which he'd been there, but to say he'd completed Jedi re-training must have been something.

They were now out of the long, shadowed corridor and out in the meadow beyond.  This was a  dense forest with only a fifty foot clearing, a natural one at that.  The rest was dense shrubs that you had to have equipment just to get through.

"Alright..." the student kind of chuckled.  Lei was not in anyway thinking deeply upon feelings or anything of the sort like your usual 'jedi'.  Quite the opposite in fact, becoming about as care free as possible and not spending too much time on deep thought.

"Defeat me." Icos said it pretty comfortably the first time, not even looking at Lei as he often did.

"Heh.  What do you mean?"  The young man glanced down at his new master's hip as the silver cylinder was detached.

Icos swiveled his head in a strickly menacing way with his deep set blue eyes peircing his student.  "Strike me down" His voice was harsh and had a slight whistle to it.

Lei was sure what to think, but then again, he didn't really have time to because Icos did not hesitate to switch the weapon on begin his own attack.

The young man ducked as quickly as he could, calling on the mystical force to draw his saber to the left hand to perry the next attack.  This was probably the only thing he spent time studying diligently.  For hours he would pick up things next to his cot and manipulate them to run up and down walls or to become paste as they smashed to the ground.  Now he used it in battle.

Icos had a hood over his head, so only those glowing orbs could be seen, not even a sound  would be heard as he moved.

The lightsabers were meeting with the familier crackling fuzzed over sound from some of thier memories.  Lei couldn't pick his out, but he knew he'd done this before.  Suddenly, the saber was in his other hand and Icos was starting to struggle for footing as he moved towards the entrance he'd just led the two of them out from.

The student was actually keeping pretty calm for his first real duel, the master on the other hand seemed to be very, very surprised by strange barrage of attacks.  Never had he seen somone use this form of saber dueling.  Again, the beam was attached to another hand.

Zzzz...  There was no discussion but that of the perry and blow pattern reoccuring in thier immediate futures.  Yes, this was an actual duel...  Lei switched back to the right, this time, forcing the lightsaber upside down and into a series of sideswipes until meeting the opposing lightsaber with a crack.  Instead of playing a game of strength, he allowed his own weapon to be pushed back, but with his new hand alignment, he began to swing the two in a path, a circucular path that was becoming ever close to the master.

Icos tried to stop it as he went through the door to the meeting room, but suddenly his right hand was off and he was being hurtled backwards into a stone wall.  Several paintings crashed to the ground.

Now he was floating...  Lei had a single arm outstretched as the opposite held his still glowing saber, and his hand was beggining to close shut.  Icos felt a sudden wait, pushing down on his shoulders and up from his legs, forcing him into a ball.  He was no longer silent, but howling with a pain.  Lei dropped him immedietly, out of whatever trance he'd begun.

He strode up to his crumpled master and relinquished his weapon.  The battle was over quickly, but his previous feelings for the man remained.  He liked the guy, but he didn't trust him.  That was becoming more powerful, especially after all of this.

"Kill me..."  The blue eyes were ardent as the head of Icos bobbed upwards to look at the young man.

Lei had no idea he'd caused so much damage, and he'd certainly never killed anyone.  He seemed to have lost his breath and looked at the man before him with disbelief.  Icos was repeating the words in a quiet mutter, slowly moving to the floor, as he was on his side and only his upper torso prevented him being just another body.

"Uhhh...  Is jus that..." Lei paused.  "No."  The eyes were alive again and they stared up at the student.

"Do it..." he whisped out as he slipped into unconciousness.

"No..."  And Lei was off to his room to grab the datapad he hadn't read at all since he stole it two and a half months ago.

(Someday I'll have to read through this and actually make it good....)
