almost everytime i try to install a game or program, without fail, there will be an error with VCACHE. I am using ME, which is my first mistake, but I dont feel like buying XP. So how exactly do I fix this problem?
A while back before i reinstalled windows a couple times, there wasnt an issue with vcache, but that does not hold true now. -----------------------

stupid computer guy didnt know jack about VCACHE. I tried disableing it, didnt work. Tried putting a maxium level, didnt work.
Now, I am thinking of getting XP and ridding myself of the plauge of ME forever. However, several of my games were made before XP came out, which I hear that makes them non-compatible with XP. Is there a way to games like Baldurs Gate, JK1, Rebellion, Aracnum, etc to work on XP? -----------------------

yeh, its easy i got XP and can run everygame except the original version of Simcity 3000,

Both work in XP just fine, Snipes. It helps if you actually know how to use your computer. -----------------------

i never said anything about CS, it works fine, i said Half Life dosent work, Blue Shift works, Opposing Force Works, CS works, but HL dont. and XWA works fien, its not the OS thats causing probs ther, its my dang 4.1 surrond drivers screw it up

I just got done playing Half-Life (in the dark ) and it works fine and dandy on my XP machine. -----------------------
