Greetings.
This should be seeting in your inbox, but in case you people don't like to read email from your commanding officer, I'm posting it here as well. I haven't seen too many results from it. I expect more 
I have some great news for all you, one which you better take advantage of. I am beginning a couple of competitions, and giving out rewards. I suggest you participate in at least one.
The first competition involves finding a game the navy should play. If you think that you know of a game that would be very beneficial for the Navy or just Kaph to play, then send it to me and your flight leader. There are some stipulations on the types of games however.
- They must be a simulation based game of some sorts
- They must be popular CD-ROM based games, no online solitaire or pool
- They must be multiplayer
- They must be oriented toward a Naval situation
- No first person shooters! That is the Army's department, not the Navy
Once you find a game you think meets all these requirements, send the name and preferably a link to a website containing some info about it to your flight leader CCing it to me. The rewards are 10K ICs per game submitted that meet the requirements. If FL or I feels the game isn't of the requirements or way out in left field, you won't receive any ICs.
The next competition is a graphics design computer. The Kaph website could use a little flare and I think this can happen by member made graphics. You are to design some graphics and send them to Corran and myself. Each submission will be rewarded with 15K ICs. If a pilot makes a gracious contribution of graphics, or one of them is really super awesome, medals might be in order as well. No nudity and copyrighted materials. The graphics must be custom created by you.
The lat competition I have is a recruitment competition. Get out there and recruit members, preferably for the Navy, but they can be for either division. I want to see Darkhawk's academy flooding with recruits. This is a prime opportunity to recruit because there are several new games coming out soon and if we can hook in some new recruits now, they'll stick with us. The stipulations on this competition are as follows:
- The recruit must at least get placed in the academy or training squadron(however DH decides to do it)
- You must keep track of you recruit so when they do reach this point you can receive your rewards
- I suggest you help your recruit through this process
I am willing to give 20K ICs for each recruit that makes it to a training squadron. I will also be keeping track of your numbers and giving out recruitment commendations and possibly medals.
All three of these competitions will last for two weeks as a preliminary setting. Some of them might extend beyond this, we'll see what happens. As always with competitions there is a chance for promotions, which I will gladly give to the deserving. Also there is a grand prize to the must active person through these three competitions.
