I had this idea and put it in the lounge, but got almost no feedback. I proposed it to Furey today at the meeting and he said post here to see what the turnout for this would be.
so....
Who is interested in participating in a league for non-SW platform games such as Yahoo! Pool. There would be contests and hopefully IC prizes and it would rpobably be a thing that is considered activity for the VE since it wud be an officially sanctioned league. So, any questions comments, concerns? -----------------------

In my opinion, I think that this would be useful. Several people don't even have games (or can't play them) on their computers. A lot play Pool and online interactive games anway. As I see it, this will increase activity, so I'm for it. -----------------------

I agree with Cos. Alot of people don't even have SW games, I think it'd let them be more active.

I guess that Otto and I should get a comission on this  seeing as how we kinda started this all with our weekly comps. If any of you wish to particpate in any future ones, please see me. Also, I think it is a great idea, and I would be happy to help manage this "league" by setting up rules, games of the week, etc, etc, etc For the time being though, I will stick to running weekly comps with my squad. Those who want to get in, are welcome to: provided that your SL approves of it. -----------------------

thanks for the feedback again, but Rizzit, the way I was thinking of it was every week have all games available so every outside game you play against another VE member you get credit for. And yes, everybody who likes the idea should give props to rizz and denethor, not me  -----------------------

Well, seing everyone seems to be SO interested in joining our comps: I'm going to start posting them on the comnet. Those who wish to participate may have to pay an entrance fee, depending on the nature of the competition. Please note: these are not long comps, so if you wish to participate you must act quickly. The fees end up being distributed to the winners, and I DO keep a log of who contributes what. I never will keep any of the fees, I only re-distribute them accordingly.
