Hey guys. Well, it's Christmas again, and my school is putting on it's anual Christmas show. This year it's the infamous Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. We're the first ever to take the script and music from the musical movie of Willy Wonka and put it to stage. And good ole me is a back stage manager AKA second assistant stage mananger. So I basically have no time, 'cept for school, the show, and my beautiful girlfriend. So I guess I'm half on leave and half not. I might be able to get on at night and do a little random things involving the VE, but not much, so don't expect to see much of me for the next two weeks. Sorry

Umm, actually I just explained in that last post that I was assistant stage manager. I'm backstage, behind the scenes, doing the stuff that the actors are too dumb to do. So no, I'm not a stupid Oompa Loompa.

I resent that comment, Otto. Not all actors are dumb.
I extrememly jealous of you, man. I have always wanted to act in Willy Wonka! It's one of my favorite "children's" novels and the movie isn't too bad, either. Besides, Gene Wilder is one of my "role models" as an aspiring actor.
Darn you. The first, huh? Well, I'll have to find the second and try out for it.

Yeah, it is an awesome show. But it's a bitch to put on.
And DH, from a techies point of view, all actors are dumb. The very first thing we were tought to know in Stage Managment Class was: "All actors are stupid."
Now, don't get your panties in a bunch, I'll explain why. All actors are stupid because during the run of the play, they are too busy remembering their lines, waiting for their cues to go on stage, and what ever else actors need to do, to pay attention to anything else that's going on around them. So for a techie, the actor is dumb.
