Yeh, you need a few months active service, as well as about two reccomendations from your superiors. I think. -----------------------

No. Once yu leave and come back, you must be in for 3-4 months from that date. Your navy time doesn't count, plus I wouldn't recommend getting recommendations from your past Naval superiors, if I were you. But whatever you like, I'm not the one who decides your membership. -----------------------

Back when I joined and for a long time now, you had to get the recommendations from one person in: AHC, NHC, VEDJ. I don't know if that's changed now, but that's what it was. -----------------------

The months that you were active before going into the Reserves does count, but being active for two months, going into reserves for 3 (just making up numbers), then active for another 2 months won't help you. -----------------------
