Final Army Report…
I never thought I’d see the day when I had to announce my retirement from the Army. However, its not every day you get to be on the High Council either

As I said along time ago in my interview, If I had to quit I’d hope to be remembered as a “as a very highly liked person and a respected commander. Someone that really changed the way things are done and made a difference.” I think in my time as your Executive officer and Regiment commander that I have made a difference, and I don’t regret a minute of doing so. My successor, Talon is a fine officer, and I have great faith he will continue to leader this army to a greater activity level.
In that Interview back in July, I was also asked the question of, “If you were given the chance to occupy any other position in the Vast Empire which would it be?” My answer to that was “…I would love to go back and be a Squad Leader or Platoon Commander. I have always loved being able to get to know my own troops at a more personal level, but with my current job, other tasks force me to occupy my time otherwise. But being on the front lines and having direct command of troops is truly the best position.” With this new position as the Operations Officer, it has given me a chance to do this.
Most of you thought you’d never see when I had to leave the Army, and the news of my position might have come as a shock. However Loyalty is prized high in my books, and I’d never let you guys down

I have finally received all the transfer requests from both the Army and Naval Commanders. Warrant Officer 1st Class Tylen Jaap will be doing an equal transfer from the Navy to the Army. This means that Tylen will become a Sergeant Major, and will be placed as the Army Executive Officer’s Assistant and an elite trooper in Iron Horse squad. At first, this will be a little bit weird for all of us; I have to learn how to write good stories again. Just so, you know a little about Tylen I’d like you to read his bio off of the roster, and because of his presence in the VEDJ I’d like you to try to not post about him unless I give the approval to do so. If you have any questions about this situation please talk to me on IRC or by e-mail and I’ll try to explain it for you.
The Army has taken a little bit of a dive from activity ever since the Elite Squad competition ended. This is partially because we have been waiting for a story to post on for quite a while now. My first priority as the Operations Officer will be to get these stories rolling for both the Army and the Navy. To do this I would like to try something new that I think will greatly help me and the army and navy. I will be taking on two advisors, one from the army, one from the navy. These advisors will be excellent and greatly skilled writers in their divisions, so I can get there input on how they think the VE storyline should go. I will not be offering this position to everyone, nor be taking applications. I pretty much know who I want and when the time is right I will ask them to join me and began work on some good stories and competitions for the VE

I’d like to give my support to the High Command of the army. They have supported me throughout my time here in the VE and I will continue to help them as much as possible as time goes on. As for the rest of our Commanders, Platoon leaders and Squad Leaders I hope you keep your activity going, and supporting your troops to be as active as possible. I would also like to encourage our Platoon Commanders and High Command to keep Active squad leaders and replace the ones that aren’t. A good SL is the key to activity in both the Army and the Navy.
I remember a time when I was at the bottom, a new recruit in this
Vast Army of ours, not knowing what to do, how to do it, and dreaming of a day when I’d have the chance to sit at the table of the High Council and be a leader of this club. And here I am. So…my advise to all of is basically what I’ve done in the past…Be active, show your support for your fellow troops and commanders, give reports, obey the rules and the chain of command...plan ahead. Help your commanders out because everything you do is seen and an impression of yourself is made by all, so make it a good impression. And most of all…have fun. If your not having fun then you and the rest of the club doesn’t go anywhere.
So anyway, sorry to make this so incredibly long, but I think its good to hear some words of encouragement every once in a while.

Good Luck to the Army, and I look forward in working with the High Council and the Division leaders to server The Vast Empire the best I can…
