After 5 years in the VEN, I regret to say I no longer have enough time to discharge the duties of a leadership role in the division.  I've always said positions should be filled by people who are present, engaged, and competent, and I can't be that, at the moment.  Therefore, I resign the post of Chief of Naval Warfare/Chief of Naval Operations, effective immediately.

With Stormz's permission, I'll be sticking around on the Reserves for the Navy, posting whenever circumstance allows.  And I'll remain active in the DJO division, for the foreseeable future.  But it's not fair to anybody, for me to keep the title of a role that I'm not actually doing.

On a personal note, I want to thank all the members of the Navy with whom I've served, over the years.  You've all been great friends to me, and I'm excited to keep writing with all of you for years to come!  Just maybe slightly less frequently.
