http://www.artemis.eochu.com/I'll let the description on its site speak for itself, but basically it's a game that simulates a Trek-style bridge and ship by using separate computers for each console and one to act as server and viewscreen. I set it up for my younger brother's birthday party using a projector and some borrowed laptops, and it worked surprisingly well. The interface was complex and cryptic enough to involve a few hilarious hours of experimentation, but once we'd figured out what everything did it was fairly intuitive. Gameplay is about what you'd expect from something like this, tense but short combat and scanning of anomalies. Supposedly you can play it over the internet as well, although it wouldn't work quite as well without voice chat.
The game is $40, but that includes permission to distribute the game to six other people to play as your bridge officers. There's also a free demo available which only allows for the minimum two consoles. If anyone has access to other interested parties and corresponding computer equipment, I highly recommend it. I also have a few copies left if anyone wants to link up through Skype or TeamSpeak and try coordinating some online rounds.
