I know this ComNet is a bit... deceased. But at the risk of being accused of gravedigging, I've just stumbled on something that might be very helpful for the VE, and I wanted to share.

Roll20 - http://roll20.net/ - is a FREE in-browser tabletop rpg emulator. It's fully customizable, with robust remote communication options. In short, if VE-ers can find hours of the day in common, they can play tabletop RPGs (Star Wars or other settings) with each other, despite the real-world distances separating them.

This is the best news I have heard in a long time! I love tabletop RPG (and have done plenty of Star Wars across, what, 3 editions of the game now?). I have so many friends scattered across the world who I know I could rope into this!
