Woohoo, my 6th post is up! The Brilliant has a visitor in the form of the Admiral, and fortunately for my character he has brought good news: The Admiral's Own (which I was awarded after the last story). I have noted that it is a plaque now displayed on my ship's bridge. This going back to the idea that the ships of the Second Fleet will be personalised over time, given a distinct character and history of their own. Great to see the continuing activity, everyone!
Hades, no problem about double-posting. While we don't want it to be habitual, it's cool every now and then if it happens, due to real life concerns. Also: nice post. The "hiding in a mass grave" reminded me of Behind Enemy Lines, the action movie. Very effective creep-out scene.
I'm working on another Trick-checks-up-on-pilots post, this time for Strill, and then I will be moving the story forward early next week. That means that this weekend is the last opportunity for pre-battle story posts, folks. Try to wrap up your character-development arcs in the next few days, and get ready to jump to the Sollamens! (Of course, you can still develop relationships and your PC's personality during the "combat phase" of the story, and you can even do "flashbacks" and the like...
