OOC:
I didn't really write this with any goal in mind, other than a weird challenge to myself and anyone else willing to participate :3

The signpost was the first to be hit, contorting the metal of the hood and shattering through the windscreen, spraying glass into the interior. The only thought I can recount before this moment were those damn words, Reduce Speed, Bend Ahead flying through the glass and smacking me square in the face. The twisted pole followed close behind with much the same ferocity and missed piercing my flesh by inches. In less than a blink of the eye, the car had soared through the safety rails, playing a symphony of screeching metal as they scraped the doors to shreds. Where, why, how, am I upside down or right-side up, can I breathe, see, think? My mind would conform to no cry for clarity, as I witnessed this slab of metal I temporarily inhabited leave the safety of the road and glide down the mountainside.

I was pinned, tumbling on every axis yet suspended in a sea of disbelief. Violent blurs and inscrutable shapes inhabited the world beyond, but I could see the mass of ground growing. In seconds my new home would be the jagged, rocky slope, an earthy prison and I the prisoner sentenced to be carried away in a body bag, if enough of me were recovered for such a luxury. As the car greeted land once again, the crashing waves deafened over all other sounds as I felt the tide sweep me under.

Waves? Was I not moments ago in a car? A wall of water descended on top of me like a crushing hammer, sending me below the surface. A surging pang shot up through my nostrils, a sharp pain licking the tip of my mind as the salty water invaded my mouth. My throaty underwater coughs gave no comfort from the alien liquid in my lungs. I broke the surface gurgling, coughing for a scrap of air. Another wave crashed into my head, sending me tumbling once again, only this time I felt my legs dragging through thick sand. Surfacing again, eyes and lungs on fire, I found myself meters from a golden brown shore. With weak childish arms I clambered through the water until my body collapsed in the sand and my eyes no longer held their resolve. Where the hell am I?

My painful inhaling meant nothing; I had come from the brink of death to resting on a golden beach, and I would enjoy it. When the appropriate amount of time had passed, my eyes sluggishly opened, there was no hurry, for though time passed I felt no pressure of it. Despite the fact the waves had seamlessly disappeared into non-existence, no feeling of surprise came to me. I was laying face first in a desert as far as the eye could see, sun bearing down like a ball of fury hell-bent on consuming the earth. I felt hot, I needed to move, I was no longer comfortable. Gazing around, I saw a small oasis travelling through the dirt towards me. By the time I blinked, I was sitting against a warm tree, soft grass at my feet and a tiny pool near me.

OOC:
Anyone game to continue the first person abstracticity? Yes that is a word I just made up don't you judge me.  Go ahead and post below if you got the stones, let's say around 500 words or so?

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye... Then it's hilarious.
