The story features the majority of Second Fleet (with the exception of Tuk'ata Squadron and the Brilliant), and should cover all Fleet Command personnel.

DeepSix, if you have the time and inclination to participate in this story (no pressure), I'd like you to remain aboard the Halcyon Warrior, IC.  You'll be leading a wing of NPC pilots.  OOC, please continue to help coordinate/inspire Tuk'ata Squadron.

It's true, folks.  We're returning to form: Second Fleet is the main offensive force, and First is the main defensive.

I apologize for the messiness during this first story, with the roster and temporary assignments.  I promise, it'll all make sense eventually.

Also, I have been PM'd by both Ellesmere and Echelon, so I'll address your questions here.

Ellesmere, straight-forward idea for your first post would be picking up immediately where I left off in my post.  Accepting the position of acting-XO, and then do some XO-ish things to prep the ship.  Serpent will probably want readiness reports from the different departments, checks of the weapons, that sort of thing.  Not interesting in itself, but maybe a good chance for a little CD.  Also remember that the two of us are pretty low rank to be commanding an ISD!  Some of the senior bridge officers may be less than thrilled to have us bossing them about....

Echelon, since our forces are still sitting in orbit of Abrae, you can run with the ship prep angle too.  Also remember that, as a SCAP, you'll be getting a copy of the same baffling orders I got!  Drac's vanished, Trick is running the fleet, which he promptly hands over to me along with the Warrior!  I don't know how your character would feel about that....

Basically people, the next few days is just intro stuff.  In 3 or 4 days I will have done a post where we take the fleet to our first target and began to engage the enemy.  Then the fun can really begin!

I have started brainstorming my next post, but it will still be a couple of days before I put it up and move our side of the story forward.  Still time for other induction posts!  However, if you don't get a chance to make them, fear not, you are still welcome to join the story whenever!

It was not necessarily the content that was bothering me, but my choices of words and description. But hey! I'll have plenty of posts to improve upon!

I'm getting excited for this! Hopefully I can come up with some pretty awesome story arcs!

I'm currently 300 words into a post, won't be anything too impressive but I'll try to do slightly better than my last one and should have it up within the hour if no problems arise

Yeah my brain was thinking about taking out the Dreadnaught first and at least get it disabled, then have a mass attack going in terms of the rest of the Fleet's fighters so there's a more or less even first assault on everything.

Alright, my post is up, an NPC post from a member of the marine team detailed in Deep's post as well as the officer in charge of the station. I'll probably get a few more posts up as an NPC pilot as well as following Deep's arc -- it's good to be writing so much!

Okay folks, my plans for the weekend have fallen through (total disaster, don't want to talk about it) but this means that I now have time to work on a post today!  Expect something up soon!
