We here in San Francisco are preparing for Gay Pride weekend (June is Gay Pride Month in the US, commemorating the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots), and I just wanted to post a big ol' thank you to every member of the VE for making our club a welcoming place for everyone. Thanks y'all!

If any of you are going out to parades, parties, or pubs for the season, be safe, have fun, and show off your pride! To my fellow LGBTQ VE-ers, and to you fabulous straight allies too: Happy Gay Pride 2012!

My government and politics leader said to us this last year that it's only now a matter of time before the gay civil rights movement gets a big equality law passed. It'll be like when blacks got their civil rights. People in 20 years time will say "It was so obvious, why wasn't this done sooner?"
