Alright, this interesting thing came to my attention.

I figured out that there is a URL for each post. Meaning you could link to a post without having the followers wade through posts on that page. In example: http://comnet.imperialnetwork.com/topic/9930/page/103/#224425 would lead to my post in Blackjack's topic on 3/23/12 asking for reports.

The problem comes on finding URLs, though. The above link was taken by checking the properties of a link given in my 'Most Recent Posts in 90 days' from my profile.

Is there a way to figure out the URL for any post? I'm not averse to a bit of work and time, but I'd like to know if anyone knows of a way.

I've wondered about that, too. I took a look, and it's buried in the raw HTML code. It wouldn't be too hard to get the post numbers displayed with a server-side or browser-side script.

I think I found a simplish answer to this. When you quote the message, the last segment of the URL in the '/' has a number. Copy the URL of the page where the post is, put a '/' and #InsertNumberHere.

This works for locked posts also.
