Who totally thought Spiderman rocked?
I mean, wasn't it AWESOME?
Whenever I hear the music, my spine tingles.
O yeah, who has a sister that says:
"Spiderman is my HERO!"

Don't listen to Riel, he's a moron.
Spider-Man was really cool. It was a heck of a lot better than I was expecting. Some of the acting could have been a little better, but I was pleased at how well they stuck to the story. Toby should be much better in the next two; I can't wait to see the Lizard and Doc Ock. ----------------------- TRP/SGT Shadow/3SQD/1PLT/1COMP/1BAT/1REG/VEA/VE [LM]

CHRIST YOU MUST BE JOKING!!!!!
Man, Toby wasn't half bad as Spider-man, I think they got the right actor for the job. That's the only thing they did right. There was nothing especially innovative in the special effects, and they made it look like he was falling constantly when he was webslinging, with no adeptness to it whatsoever, just plain luck. Okay, Mary Jane in the wet t-shirt was cool as hell. The whole "GO WEB" thing really pissed me off, and you know that quite well, DH. Not to mention the fact that they made it apart of his hand. That went against thirty years of comic wisdom, and foolish newbies to the world of spider-man will take that as gospel. It was yet another comic-book movie that blew.
on a side note: Spider Man- The Movie for PS2 looks mighty awesome. Too bad they're going to somewhat stick to the movie :P ----------------------- Rear Admiral (U) Riel Fury

I thought it was pretty good. The graphics were nice, and the actor's that they picked for the job did pretty good as well. However, I hated the ending. Of course, I know that that's how practically all of the Spiderman Marvel Comic's ended.

Spiderman was pretty cool...the actor who played the Green Goblin was awesome (can't remember who played him)....I mean when he was out of the Goblin suit....his facial expressions, etc were very realistic.
The newspaper guy seemed right in character compared to the comics, but it might just be me (haven't really read many).
The "go web" thing wasn't that good, I'll admit but the rest rocked.

William DeFoe was excellent as Norman Osborne, but they just didn't give him enough screen time, and they didn't allow the Green Goblin to really get into his character.
The actor who played Harry did a really nice job.
And whoever played J. Jonah Jameson - like TJ said - was my favorite actor in the entire movie. He portayed JJ so well! Jameson was always one of my favorite characters in all of Marvel comics and I was so pleased to see him like that on the big screen; but again, he was gipped on screen time.
Personally, minor changes like the webs being organic don't bother me at all. It actually makes more sense that Peter would gain the ability to produce his own webs (although it would be much better if they shot out of his butt).
The only drawback I saw in the movie was that they strayed from the TRUE Green Goblin storyline, but I never expected them to stick straight to the comic books. I mean, come on, that never happens in Hollywood with anything.
And, as a HUGE Spider-Man fan of 14 years, I can say that I liked the ending a lot. It was very reminiscent of Spider-Man, especially in his early days.
Spider-Man is by far my favorite super hero and as Riel knows, I have a TON of the comics. I believe the movie did him a lot of justice - it was the best super hero flick since Batman.
One last thing - if you know more than a little about Spidey (like myself) then you had to get a kick out of seeing Steve Ditko's name on the opening credits. ----------------------- NTO/SCAP/FL/COM Darkhawk/Raptor 3-1 /ISD II Devastator/OFF/VEN/VE/(=A=)(=SA=)(=JCPA=)(=SCPA=)(=FOCE=)[LoC][BRC][VC:Ebony]

I don't know the actor's name, but the guy that played J Jonah Jameson is also on the TV series 'OZ' on HBO, he plays Schillenger, a neo-nazi. ----------------------- NXO/RAD Japheth Cappadocious/NHC-2/ISD Overlord/VEN/VE/(=SA=)(=SCPA=)(=FOCE=)[BRC][MC:1][KC:OC]

Too many camera angles, too far from the comics, too flashy.
