Physical Description:
Dawn is of average build but prefers to wear a slightly larger uniform to have him appear smaller then he really is. When off duty he wears darker, heavier clothes (i.e. trench coat). He's a bit paranoid and jumpy.

History:
Issac "Dawn" Falen, born and raised on Corasaunt. As a kid he was fed the Imperial idealism by his parents. During his early teen years he was fascinated by the news of the Civil War. When he go the time he liked to build and pilot model star ships. To pass time he set them to auto-pilot and engaged in dogfights. Affter the fall of the Empire Issac's parents whisked him to safety on Argau away from the war. During his first year on Argau he met the son of a moderately wealthy banker. The two, Issac and Jacen Arture, both had Imperial minds and both had their eyes on the military. Jacen helped Issac trough his time at school and Issac helped Jacen learn about jury rigging tech. and stripping down equipment to the bare necessities. After  Jacen's father was murdered, their path's began to separate. One went towards the army the other navy. When Issac was in his mid-teens, he began to study more in depth on piloting star ships he decided that e would embody his faith to the Empire by getting two tatoos. The day Jacen left was when Issac began searching for a recruitment office.

Personality:
Dawn is normaly level headed, but once someone questions his loyalty he'll tear you apart with his words alone. He takes awhile to trust anyone but once he gets to know you it'll last a lifetime. as an affinity to makeshift tech.

personally I'd like your History a little longer, doesn't have to be a book but I'm finding I need to know a bit more about your char. Take your time and flesh out the bio, talk about the family, childhood all that good stuff

Solid post, Dawn.  I like that you worked with the idea that your character's IC performance might be lackluster, while still fulfilling your OOC assignment for Flight School.

With that said, though, I'd like to give you one more assignment before I clear you to move on to the final Chapter of FS.  Your training cycle has been unusually long, and a couple times, now, you've been less communicative than I like to see in a new recruit.  When you join a squadron, you're going to be a part of a unit, and your mates need to know that you aren't afraid to use the ComNet to stay in touch before, during, and after a mission.  So, I'd like to see one more story post from you, either another sim run in Overwhelming Odds or an original story of your own creation on the Navy Story Board,  with as few typos and grammatical mistakes as you can manage, and I'd like you to announce you've completed the assignment here in your training thread when you're done.  It may seem tedious, but I have to make sure you're ready for active duty with a squadron.    Keep up the good work, Crewman... you're almost there!

Welcome back, Dawn.  Since it has been several months, I'm going to ask you to please repeat Chapter 2 of Flight School - the story post.  We have a new training exercise story, so go ahead and try your hand at that, and I have an additional challenge for you: incorporate into your post or posts a reason why your training cycle in-story has lasted longer than average, just as your meta-level training cycle has.  Often, VE folks like to keep OOC and IC lined up, which means doing this kind of justifying and retconning; it'll be good to get in some practice.  Again, welcome back.

Okay, Dawn.  Good to see you active again.  I'm going to say you pass Chapter 2, but I DO have a few notes for you to consider as you move forward:

1.) Spelling.  It's a little thing, that doesn't seem like a big deal, but even a few spelling errors can mar a post so badly, others stop reading.  This is a collaboratively written play-by-post rpg; not doing a spell-check is tantamount to being rude.  Help your teammates read, understand, and respond to your posts by limiting the spelling and grammar mistakes.

2.) The minefield-out-of-missiles idea isn't particularly "realistic," but neither are spacecraft which bank when turning in a vacuum.  I found this plot point to be enjoyable, and very Star Wars.  Good job.

3.) A nitpicky thing: VE-standard interceptors do not carry proton torpedoes, they carry concussion missiles.

As I said, though, that satisfied the requirements of the assignment.  Go ahead and move on to Chapter 3.  Post a report here in this thread, and PM a copy to me, and we'll get you placed, at long last.  Good job.
