Hello and welcome to the Naval Academy, Crewman PilotStar! I am Petty Officer 2nd Class Ellesmere, one of the Trainers of the Vast Empire Navy. Some people call me ‘Ellie’ so feel free to do the same. Now that you have posted your welcome message, we shall move onto the next step in Basic Training, or as we more commonly call it; BT. It is mostly referred to as Flight School around here and its purpose is to prepare you for life in a squadron. Your first step is to complete Chapter I which can be found here. Once you have completed this step please post it here for review. Our method of writing here (in the Navy and the Vast Empire as a whole) is in the third person, please do so. If you have any questions, feel free to reach me via ComNet PM or hop onto IRC and join #VENA, if for some reason I am not present one of the Academy Staff should be on hand to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Now to get you started off in Basic Training ; for starters, if you would please visit the VE Wiki Page for Basic Training found from there on, choose a school (Flight School where you become a pilot) or Command School (f you'd like to serve on the bridge of a ship) and complete the assignment listed for your chosen path. Once the assignment is completed, please post it here and I'll review it. If you have any questions, concerns or anything please feel free to ask! I can be reached on IRC in #VENA, or if you prefer you can post anything here or shoot me a ComNet PM Please note that your only option at this time is Flight School, due to the high application rate for Command School our number of active Flight Members in Squadrons is low; as such Command School is not an option at this time. Our training process hereabouts is designed to be simple to understand and as such it helps us weed out those who aren't a good fit for the VEN. Articulate your problems clearly, and we'll try to help; if you can't, maybe you aren't ready for a writing club. Your probation period has ended, and not only have you NOT completed your Academy coursework in time, but you have also willfully disobeyed orders by continuing to make yourself a nuisance throughout the ComNet. You are hereby expelled from the Vast Empire's Naval Academy, and by extension, the Navy. Go troll another forum... that isn't the game we play here.
