I don't have the bluray (nooooo!) version, just the last DVD release, thank god. As a result I can just skip through that terribly pointless Jabba scene on Mon Eisley. But I can never completely ignore the hundreds of CGI creatures and aliens inserted almost everywhere to the extent that everything becomes so convoluted that I get a migraine.

I'm fortunate enough that we've got the whole thing on VHS and are currently working on getting everything - from home movies to other tapes we've got converted to DVD/blu-ray |

My friend has them all on laser disk, I have them on VHS, albeit they're the first 'improved version', although I don't mind it at all other than that HAN SHOOTS FIRST, DAMMIT. Even the DVD releases were bearable, although was no happy about them taking out old anakin.
Either way, however, that link was pretty shit, as the page is shit, it is shit-tastic, pretty sure that Ben Kenobi did that scream in all of the movies, albeit it doesn't sound quite the same, but I have no doubt that audio tweak was necessary to make a movie that was never recorded for surround sound or digital audio at all into something that would play well on the modern home theater. Even the 'No' doesn't sound too fucking horrible, yeah, it's an unnecessary and silly change, that might even, in some small way, lessen the impact of the scene, however it's no greedo shooting first. {Comnet Hermit}-=Wraith PRIDE=- - Former Member - 3 years. Yeah, a genius as far as the general concept goes, revitalized the sci-fi genre but, as of late... seriously. Thankfully I have the original trilogy on vhs and a vhs that, mostly, works. I might consider buying it once it's on hologram in a couple decades... don't deny it, it is inevitable. But seriously, HAN SHOT FIST YOU *******!!!
He's almost run the series into the ground now. In a perfect world, Star Wars is run by a council of elite nerds who are subject to a democratic system. They would further the storyline by creating more public versions of the better half of EU, i.e. a televised Thrawn Campaign.
