Don't worry about asking questions: it's a good thing!

I can tell you've got some stories you're thinking about, and I'm not going to tell a writer not to write something he's excited about, but I do encourage you to finish training first, before working on any CD pieces.  Focusing on training will get you up to speed on how we write here, so your first story - the CD piece you're itching to write - fits better here than it might otherwise.  By all means, work the ideas you're thinking about into your training post - feature your PC's inner monologue or emotions about the backstory narrative, for example - but try to stay focused on that training post, for now. 

Absolutely, you can develop NPCs who are a part of the Navy.  Eventually, you'll be required to do exactly that, if you're put in command of a capital ship, for example.  Most of the things you seem to want to do are major parts of what we do here; you just have to be a little patient while we get you up to speed.

I appreciate you working on the post.  I would like to see an ending of some kind, though.  Right now it still ends mid-simulation, with Caeus still alive and the mission still in limbo.  What happens?

Let me clarify: cliffhangers are more than merely allowed, they're encouraged, since they give other members opportunities to continue the story where you leave off, but there still needs to be a recognizable ending to the scene/post, even if the story isn't ending.  The narrative cannot just stop; the reader needs a sense of something ending, or at the very least transitioning to something else.

Hint at what comes next, if you're going for a cliffhanger ending; tease the reader with the sense that something big is about to happen, but he/she has to wait to read what it is.  PM me if you want to discuss specific options for your post.

Activity: Joined the Vase Empire Navy. Got character's bio and other information together, and clarified. Began training for Imperial Navy, and is working on writing skills. I have been planning out CD stories to start posting next week. I played the training simulator, and rather got the hang of some of the aspects, but still working on improving myself.

Upcoming Plans: Working on CP Stories, and improving my quality of writing. Also to get to know other members of the Imperial Navy.

You can absolutely start writing CD stories now, sure!  But, yes: All official stories take precedence over personal projects.  And: try to start small, with CD works, especially if you want them to be valid IC within the larger VE narrative.  Good luck!

Not sure which story thread you're referring to, so I'll answer generally: for CD stories, feel free to jump on in.  For more official squadron-and-above-level tales, it may break continuity for you to suddenly appear, IC.  Get in touch with your SCO first.
