I am Warrant Officer 2nd Class (WO2) Cayden Tavers, callsign "Amacuse".  I am the Squadron Commander of Regents Squadron.  And might I say, Crewman Fyston, that you are in for a roaring good time here in the Vast Empire Navy.

Senior Chief Petty Officer (SCPO) Trykon or 2nd Lieutenant (2LT) Slasher should be around shortly to begin your training.  But, in the mean time... feel free to explore the story board... the VE Wiki... and the IRC channels.

Standing taller than the typical Zabrak, Fyston can easily reach the top of shelves that many others find impossible to reach. On the other hand, he often must stoop to make it through doorways meant for smaller beings, though he can make it through most standard doors. He has a tan skin tone, and his black facial markings accent the skin tone, as well as his vestigial horns. Due to his upbringing and the harsh nature of Iridonia, Fyston has a muscular nature and knows how to use every particle of strength when in stressful or dangerous situations. Fyston's pride in himself result in him standing tall whenever he can, and often takes care to maintain his muscular build. His blood red eyes often have a sense of intimidation to those expecting different, softer eye colors. He obtained a scar from taunting an Iridonian reek, and often avoids taunting those he cannot handle for this reason. Although proud, he is polite, and is used to humbling himself in front of superiors to prevent his pride from becoming arrogance and single-mindedness. Although polite among superiors and those he doesn't know, Fyston transitions into an informal state when with those he knows and feels comfortable around.

Born to a warrior father, Fyston often spent his time watching his father and learned how to hunt as he grew older. His mother was absent in his life after being killed in a starship crash. Fyston accepted various responsibilities afterwards, maturing him faster than others his age. He didn't have many friends, though his father acted both as a tough father and a caring mother, ensuring Fyston learned how to act and that he learned right from wrong. After his father was killed in a bar, Fyston enlisted in the Vast Empire, hoping to be able to do something with his skill in flying.

Fyston's Report: May 8th, 2011
Activity: This week I joined VE, May 7th 2011 to be exact. I have begun working on flight school and learning the basics of how to do things here. I am using experience gained in other boards to help assimilate into training threads. I spent time yesterday near noon to complete PPC offers. I used the gained IC's to buy a weapon and a jetpack from the shop.
Upcoming plans: Next week I will complete tasks assigned to me and hopefully complete more training. I hope to be assigned to an actual squadron, though I am perfectly fine with Raptor Squadron as long as I am able to post and get involved with the story.

Congratulations again, Fyston.  I have news for you:

In recognition of your efforts during Basic Training, and to reward your competent and timely completion of Flight School, you are hereby promoted to Senior Crewman, and awarded the Star of the Academy medal.  Command has also seen fit to assign you to Nightshrike Squadron, under Senior Chief Petty Officer DeepSix, flying in position A-2.  I started my Starfighter Corps rotation in that very same slot and squadron, and DeepSix is a great CO, so I hope you'll continue to excel there.

Please update your ID Line, wiki page, and Comnet Member Information with the new data as soon as possible, report to DeepSix in the Nightshrike thread, and then feel free to start working on character development stories and Certifications and Ancillary Skills posts, and remember that active duty means you post at least twice per week to any stories involving your squadron.  Good luck, have fun, congrats again, and welcome to active duty in the Imperial Navy's Starfighter Corps!
