So most of you may be aware of this, I am sure those of you are not. I have been under negotiations with Emperor's Hammer (per Kadann's permission of course) to work out some multiplayer gaming. It started out as a simple RTS matchmaking project, but it sort of evolved tonight into a full blown Ladder/Tournament. We even got a couple other clubs involved. So why am I telling you this?

As of this moment, signups for the competition on our end are open. You are to post on this thread your full (fictional) name and callsign (this includes rank), e-mail address that you want to use to be contacted (it better work), your time(s) available if you know them or at least your timezone, and which games you can play (along with any additional contact info if available). The games supported will be:

• Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds
• Star Wars: Empire at War
• Star Wars: Jedi Outcast
• Star Wars: Jedi Academy
• Sins of a Solar Empire
• BF2142
• Call of Duty 4

There is one thing regarding the games. Emperor's Hammer is only allowed to play Star Wars (or Star Wars modded) games. Therefore, any of the non-Star Wars games listed above NEED to be modded. Links to downloads and the necessary maps will be provided to you (which means yes, this is PC only).

Now, that said: once you sign up you will be contacted by myself or Shazaam from the Navy. The tournament begins July 11th, so you have until July 3rd (or 4th depending on timezones) to sign up. It will close promptly then. No exceptions. The rules and regulations will be handed down the week before or a little earlier. For now, I can tell you that there will be an assigned match time that you are to show up for based on your (and your match's) availability.

So by now I am sure some of you are asking "What's in this for me?" Well, for starters the Vast Empire has multiplayer campaign awards in existence that we can hand out to those who performed well. Furthermore, participation in the tournament might bring in some new recruits for those of you worried about member counts. Beyond that there will be promotions and other various awards like ICs or ICS Merchandise that we might award to you. Above all it WILL be fun. So, signup today and best of luck to you. Hopefully, we can bring some glory to this, the vastest of empires!

Put me on Empire at War.  (also: is that just the first one, or does that include the expansion, or is it the expansion?  I have both, I'd just like to know beforehand)

To clarify - this is NOT a one day event. I double checked for confirmation, you will be assigned a match based on your free time. over a week/two week period. Hope that clarifies.

Hopefully i will have finished my character in a matter of hours and be able to edit this post at a later date with a proper rank and name.

That said i see Outcast and Academy are listed above and i would like to join those if at all possible.

If it's not too late count me in assuming it runs past July 16.  I'll come out of retirement for this.

A bit of an update...we're going to be putting the start of this off ever so slightly due to some negotiations problems with one of the clubs AND the desire to add flight simulators to the list. SO anyone with Rebellion, X Wing vs TIE, X Wing Alliance and similar games for PC please sign up as well. Thanks! You'll have an additional week to do this. Those who do not, sorry for the delay.

Due to semi-unprecedented events (ie: preparing to ship out in October for BMT), I will be unable to participate.
