Recruit Galen Salak reporting for duty!

I have noticed that the first step of Flight School is to complete these biography forms and have done so accordingly.

== Physical Description ==
Galen is of a rather muscular build from spending his teenage years assisting his father in the mines, he has a slight limp from when a large rock crushed his leg years ago. Off duty, he likes to wear a long sleeve white shirt with a brown jacket as well as padded pants with his mining boots. This is because he was basically required to wear this outfit every day of his life on Arkania because of the cold temperatures.

== Character’s Background ==
Galen Salak was born on the mining planet of Arkania to Zevran and Marina Salak. There was not a large human population on Arkania, so Galen did not have many friends in his childhood, as his parents discouraged interaction with other life-forms. His father worked in the diamond mines on the outskirts of their small colony, and as soon as Galen was old enough, he began to work with his father. It was at this time that Galen developed a fascination with starships. Small crafts would pick up the diamonds at the end of every week, and Galen begged his father for the chance to pilot one. His father eventually gave in and he got a chance to pilot an archaic Y-8 Mining Vessel. Shortly afterwards, he and his father started constructing their own vessel. Unfortunately, they would never be able to finish it.

Zevran was killed when a diamond mine collapsed a few days after Galen’s seventeenth life day. Crushed by the loss of his father and best friend, Galen ran away from home and hopped from system to system with trade caravans for nearly a year. He eventually settled down on his own on the planet of Bakura. There he attended pilot school for a year and signed on with a mercenary group called “The Black Crows.” The work was dangerous but he found himself enjoying the adventure. He worked with the group for three year until a rival mercenary group began assassinating the Crows. On the return trip from a mission one day, his craft was attacked and he was forced to crash land on the planet Abrae. A few months later, he went to the Naval Recruiting Center and joined up with the Imperial Navy, which brings us to this day.

== Personality ==
Galen has a split personality. When on land, he is a friendly, caring individual, and always looking to lend a helping hand to anybody in need. However, when he gets inside the cockpit, Galen becomes ruthless, telling himself that destroying his enemy will help him avenge his father; however he is able to keep himself under control to the point where he can function with his wingman with deadly efficiency.

Galen sighed as he gazed out the front viewport of his cockpit at the beautiful planet of Abrae. His training mission was nearly over as he just had to make his way to one final waypoint and then he could land. Just as he pulled his TIE Interceptor out a roll he had done, he noticed a small blip heading towards him on his radar.

Giving a hard jerk on the yoke, he saw a Z-95 ‘Headhunter’ heading towards him. Galen did not have much time to think as the enemy craft shot three quick bolts at him. Galen performed a basic turned sideways and began pitching sharply to perform a basic Break Turn to avoid the fire, then rolled and applied a bit more pitch to initiate a barrel roll. The Z-95 flew past him and Galen quickly linked his blasters and fired off four bolts into the back of the enemy craft.

One of the bolts scored a hit and a bit of the fighter’s engine flew off into deep space. The Z-95’s speed began to decrease and Galen’s AOT was starting to decrease rapidly. Thinking quickly, he used a lag turn to give himself enough time to decrease his speed. He was now directly behind the enemy craft at an AOT of one hundred meters. He lined up his targeting reticule on Z-95’s engines, and took five quick shots. Four of them found their mark and the last thing he saw before turning was a small fireball engulfing the Z-95. He accelerated back to max speed and headed for the Academy, ready to get some rest.

Activity: This week I created my character and began Flight School, I passed Chapter I and II and am currently working on Chapter III. I also voted for VE on every link on the Pay-to-Click Page.

Upcoming Plans: I plan to complete Chapter III of Flight School and pass my Aviation Exam to be placed in a Squadron.
