Well, I am sure all of you HC members are darn right proud of yourselves...and you have a right to be! That was a GREAT April Fool's Joke. In a sense I got really upset at the fact that the VE would close, and this ruined my day in school. I was disappointed though because of all the hard work that I have poured into this place. It had taught me so much and now it was gone. I have to have a great big laugh though: Arturus was so worried that he might be discovered he asked kip to remove the records of him being in the VE.  It really was a good joke. I am glad that the VE did not close, and all I can say is LONG LIVE THE VAST EMPIRE!!!!!!!!!!  -----------------------

Heh, yeah, it was very well done. Although there was one mistake... I mailed Ani this morning asking about it and got no answer. If it'd been real, I would've heard from him in about an hour at most  -----------------------

All I got to say is what if this backfired on the VE?
There was a very good chance that we could have lost almost everyone because they thought this was real. If it were not for a few cool level heads this could have actually turned out quite disasterous.
For originality I give it a 9/10 on the FA scale
For authenticity I give it an 8/10 on the FA scale(a few well placed e-mails and web surfing could have blown the wqhole thing open as the prank it was)
For humor I give it 5/10, but only because it worked without backfiring
For the good idea factor I give it 1/10 because if this had backfired the VE wouldn't exist anymore
So next year keep in mind you don't want droves of people walking out because a damn convincing prank was too convincing.

It's almost amusing (although sad) that the people that made a big stink about it, don't do anything for the VE anyway.. So why do we care if they got mad over it? If you really cared that much about the VE, why do you sit back and do nothing? Our stories should have been much more full. I think I saw two new posts on the story per day.. And how many Army members are there? Same with the Navy. I could write an add on every night until the story was done. It's not that hard to write 3 or 4 decent paragraphs. -----------------------

I agree with Daishi on the potential backfire - but I think the joke is funny as **** and I wasn't even there.

All these comments about how our joke wasn't right and how it wasn't 'actually possible' come from people where their best joke is hiding a fish in an air conditioner duct. Wow. Not only do they do that, but they do it many times.

The two things that make me not like that joke is that it was a very dangerous joke and two it would be just my luck since I had just come out of retirement as a mission maker.
Go ahead and complain about my past as much as you like but I have given myself a good swift kick in the rear and I'm not depending on the VEEC to do crap for me anymore because they do nothing even when they are asked to, why do you think I resigned as Barron Administrator?
Three, you try and think of an original prank after pulling off as many as we have after three years of operations.
I have to give the HC the respect they deserve for pulling a rather convincing prank but I'll never say it was all that funny. -----------------------

Jokes are jokes. I mean... I figured it out near the end before they told us it was fake... I figured #1 it was April Fools Day, #2 It was unlikely Lucas would do that, because then they'd have to come after all the other clubs as well, #3 as has been said before it's illegal for them to do that unless you're making profit on it, such as Ronin was doing with his Cafe Press products for the EH awhile back. And finally when Raptor( one of the founders) shows up(and believe me that's rare) that something is probably fishy
