Yes, I'm complaining about the plainess of the VEwiki main page. On every other wikipedia main page I've seen (even the origional one), there are little applications that they have on it that give it some character, such as "Article of the Day" or "Picture of the Day" or "Did you know?" or "Quote of the day". Many of them even have their own templates or skins that personalize their wiki page. Our page is unique compared to wookiepedia because ours is actually a wiki page, compared to their wikia page. There are lots of differences, but the bottom line is (in my opinion) wikias suck because of advertisements and built in templates that are a pain to get rid of. Sooo.... we can do pretty much whatever we want to our wiki page. Would anyone be in support of this? Adding features such as article of the day or quote of the day? Or eventually making a new template for the VEwiki? I'd be willing to learn the language and help out with the implementation of it all, and I know Bacredi would be willing to help too. I agree with the old man. Furthermore, I gotta add this perspective....at the start we're going to be right on top of it no problem. But whoever is in charge of doing this EVERY DAY is eventually going to get tired of it and slack off until eventually it is not done anymore. I for one would rather see it less often and last longer than more often and last shorter. On a totally un-related topic: sounds great. I also have been thinking the wiki could use a bit of a makeover myself. |

We hardly keep up with the so-called site of the week. Probably best to just spice up the design, but not be constantly updating the page.
